do you find as you mature its harder to keep the weight away?

this is because the body is not as active and as perfect in terms of all the mechanisms that are working, they do not work as efficiently or as fast as when you were 16! i think as you get older you eat more, but I am not sure why this is, because, I am not growing any taller so I shouldn’t really be putting any more weight. But then I guess when you have a full-time job where all you are doing is sitting and doing work all day, lack of exercise is another key issue.

As we age our metabolism tends to slow down. We need to increase our activity to keep up with the calories we consume. If we don't our backsides will tend to expand.

Yes. I can tell a really big difference since I have aged. I can also tell a big difference also since I work from home now and sit in this desk chair alot. I have gained a few pounds but I am trying to get the weight back off and it sure isn't easy.

yup... this is definitely true... i've been trying to shred some pounds for the nth time.. hehehe! nothing seems to work... theory is... (i think this is proven)... to make something a habit, you have to do this everyday for 21 days... i've done exercising for more than a month everyday... as in, i shred about 6 pounds.. and after doing so, i had my vacation and i gained the weight back... oh! well.. back to square 1..

100 percent agree with u! i have a veryyyyyy slow metabolism lately and my weight fluctuates once in a while. you see, i have just lose weight and when i reached my goal, my weight started to increase, then decreases. its really frustrating considering that it took me years to shed off these pounds (yoyo effect) but takes just a day to have it increased again..sigh.... i also noticed based on my observations from my friends who were working in call centers whose job mostly sits in computer and talk have become fatter. they all used to be petite but now they've become chubby. some of them have become insecure about their weight. as for me, im still battling it. its really difficult. but i believe in the saying of never giving up :)

yeah i believe in that base on what i see personally. Mostly after college I see people getting bigger, where in ones they were very skinny or sexy during college or high schools days. =) I did see myself got bigger too when i graduated from college. But i did trim down already. It's hard to trim down specially when you work in an office.. you sit all day then the food are sometimes unlimited... snacks here and there... delivery here and there... eating is fun but not for the body.. o.0 and also being tired the whole day, having good exercise seems impossible already.
