You wake up early in the morning, wash your laundry and hang the laundry on the clothesline to dry do you rush out to quickly bring them inside at the first sign of an afternoon storm or you just leave them to be rained on? Have you ever been rained on while bringing them inside?

My flat is small without a garden so I have a washer/drier, my clothes come out ready to wear. all the best urban

This is just another reason why dryers are one of the best inventions to home maintance ever. I have never hung dry my clothes beofre but I would imagine with my luck I would get rained on quite often.

Thanks for your response. In our side of the globe a dryer will cost you a fortune and then not many parts of the countryside have electricity supply.

At the first sign of rain (either sight or smell) I'm out bringing the clothes in. The rain round here is so dirty. In some places I've lived the rain is really refreshing and I wouldn't think twice about just leaving clothes out. Where I live now though, theres like random particles of dust and dirt from chemical plants within the rain. It just leaves me having to wash the clothes again...As for being rained on, it depends how quick I am to bring them in and how heavy the rain is when I am bringing them in lol.

Hey Nadura, thanks alot for your response. In the place where I live the rain is not dirty but we dash out to bring them in becuase if we leave them out during the storm the line might be blow out and cloths will be scartered in the mud. I have been rained on severally while removing the cloths. THanks.

If it's stormy, then yes, I would probably bring the laundry in...but, if it's just a little drizzle, I have been known to leave it hanging out there. Luckily our rain here is clean and I use enough pins to keep everything on the line.:)
