Making Buttermilk

Brenda @wahmbrenda (141) • United States 27 Mar 09

Many recipes call for buttermilk. Do you know what this really is though? It's actually 1 cup curd, 2 cups water and a pinch of salt. This sounds disgusting to me even though it's suppose to be good for you. So, will you still use...

Apples...$3.49 a pound!

Kareng @kareng (83408) • United States 18 Mar 09

Holy cow! You read that right. The sign for one of our local grocery stores is advertising apples at $3.49 a pound! That is like $3.49 for one apple! I can't believe this. At this price, I won't be buying any apples. They can sit...

craftymom Maybe they were organic??? Usually, around here(Arkansas) apples are about $1.50 per pound. I was out earlier and saw some for 69 cents per pound. I try not to pay more than a dollar a pound unless one of my boys is begging and they are small apples (they last...

I need help on figuring out this type of Indian dish/dessert..

cream97 @cream97 (29084) • United States 14 Mar 09

Is there anyone out there that likes to watch HOUSE

plb9201 @plb9201 (140) • United States 11 Mar 09

I am totally addicted to the TV show House. I am a nurse by profession and I love to watch the show. Much better than CSI and its got the little twist when it comes to house's bad attitude. Anyone else love the show as much as...

craftymom I especially love the marathon days on USA. I'm a stay at home mom (and part-time substitute teacher) and those days are usually on holidays--no school! Usually I record House and watch it later without commercials.

craftymom I hope you got your bag back. You have to be really careful about things like that. I know when I go shopping, I tend to leave my phone and keys in that part of the cart. (I usually keep my debit card in my pocket.) It pays to be attentive at all times.

craftymom If it's stormy, then yes, I would probably bring the laundry in...but, if it's just a little drizzle, I have been known to leave it hanging out there. Luckily our rain here is clean and I use enough pins to keep everything on the line.:)
