Someone had asked in a previous discussion about the height of my Lilies. Well here is a shot of one of my Asiatic Lilies I transplanted recently. This is about 3 feet tall. Most are about 2 feet tall. Asiatics have skinny stems where as the Tiger Lily stems are more like a thick small tree trunk. How tall do your Lilies get? Do you have a variety of Lilies or just one species? I have a few different colors of Tigers and Asiatics. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

I don't have Lilies in my garden AGB that is another reason that i love to see yours and they are gorgeous! I love the strategic positioning of that tallest one! xxx

Thanks for the difference. When I had them often my Asiatic lilies were close to three feet. I had one that was almost a beige color or buff--kind of strange. I have plants that never bloomed this year. I think they are in too much shade.I have white Easter lilies that do not bloom at Easter, that people before me planted. I have been in this house over twenty years, and they still bloom, usually in May.

Yeah most mine are 3 feet tall. A couple have gotten to nearly 4 feet though too. I love them no matter how tall they get. As long as they flower I am happy. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Do all the lily plants get tall like that? Also when they get that tall do they get top heavy and bend over or stand up straight and tall?

Leaning Tower of Lily - This is what they do when they are in a shaded area.
Most Lilies grow from 24 to 48 inches tall. Nope they stand upright. Now they love sun so some of mine are in a shaded area. Now in those cases they lean as far as they can to reach into the sunshine. This is why I have been transplanting them this spring. Here is a shot I just took showing a new growth Lily leaning out to get some sunshine. Now I have to wait till fall to finish this long task. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Hi GRANDPA BOB! How lovely your garden is. The lilies are truly beautiful and I guess, you are feeling so proud of those blooms you have. I will be proud too if I were in your shoes. I would love to have so many lilies in my garden as well; unfortunately, I don't have any lilies. Take care and God bless!
