I'm usually on Yuwie for socializing and I remember I added this new downline to that site. This person lives in Canada so I discuss with her about Yuwie, how it works and how good it was to socialize and make good friends on there.
I remember I was going to speak to her on the headset but she mentioned she doesn't have sound on her computer and it didn't work for a long time. The time range she said was since November of 2007. She thought she had problems with her computer. So I did the impossible I asked her if her computer is a manufacturer system of custom built. She said it was custom built from her brother. So I told her if she can open up the side and tell me what kind of sound she had and if she can view it with her webcam and it showed that she had built in sound instead of a regular sound card installed. Then I told her to open up the side and show me the type of motherboard it was and what model it read on the board.
She gave me the type of model of the motherboard and I looked it up online. I found the exact image of the motherboard in google. I showed her the motherboard image and she said that's the right board. So I googled for the motherboard drivers and which I found her sound drivers for that particular motherboard. Then I walked her through going through what is called device manager and I told her if she found what is called "Sound, Video & Game Controllers" knowing she was using Windows XP she named of what was listed on there which were just the generic sound devices from Windows and not the actual sound drivers from the motherboard.
Then what I did is I sent her the actual sound drivers to her by Yahoo Messenger. I told her what to do step by step to install the sound drivers. After everything was installed she restarted the computer. Next thing you know after how long she had the computer with no sound, finally the sound was on. Then I was able to hear her from her webcam that had a built in mic. She was so excited and just was filled with joy.
It feels good when you find out a computer gets resolved...

Yes. I hate computer problems. It makes me sick. I am the only one in my household who even knows where to begin when there is a problem with it. I will work and work on it to try to get it fixed. It takes me a long time to figure out but it feels good when it is finally fixed.

When you've done it for a long time to fix a computer depending on the problem it really doesn't take long. The only issue I deal with that would take a long time to fix would be the case of fixing older computers that have a hardware failure and the parts are no longer available to buy even online and it forces the person to buy a new computer. This even goes for older laptops too.
