I used to waitress for long hours.
And managed a waterbed store..
and a bar and restaurant..
and many other jobs that required loads of time
beating the dogs...
I used to soak my feet after work in warm water with
baking soda. Then I'd go to bed and the next day my dogs were ready
to start running again.
What do/did you do for sore, worn out feet?

Hi raydene! I used to manage a wedding shop and another one that is a novelty and gift shop. I was a wedding coordinator before and have to manage the gift shop as well. Both require long hours of standing and that really put so much burden on my feet especially when I am coordinating an event which I have to wear high heels at the same time. And when I arrived home, I soak my feet into warm water and then just put up my feet when I am about to sleep. Usually I have two pillows underneath my feet.
Take care and God bless!

My feet were killing me last night. I spent the whole day doing physical work in the yard which I don't do often. Someone gave me a doctor shol's foot bath thingy which is absolutely awesome. I love to soak my feet in it and then put some moisturizer on my feet and lay down and relax. Then they feel so much better. Hope your feet are feeling better, sounds like you work them really hard.

Hi,
I tried to soak my feet too in herbal water to remove the smells and also the fatigue. Sometimes in the weekend, I go for foot massage or even spa pedicure. It is revitalizing. If you have the money you could invest in a small foot massager at home too. :)

I have no one on hand to massage them, that's when a partner comes in handy, I love my feet massaged and I am not at all ticklish so I can sit there for hours and have some one fondle and play with them, bliss! Other than that I soak them in a nice bowl of hot water with dettol to clean them, I give my feet a lot of punishment pounding them at the gym 5 times a week and they need lots of TLC. So I use foot creams, sprays etc to keep them tip top! It's a shame there's not a spare parts shop, where you can buy a brand new pair of feet, well you can buy new shoes can't you! Either that or unscrew your feet and leave them in soak overnight! Bliss!

I too have had many jobs that required me to be standing long hours, baker/cake decorator, deli lead, short order cook/cashier/the only one working in the cafe for 6 hours a day, retail cashier. I would soak my feet in warm water and epsom salt in a foot bath that had heat and massage features.

I recently got something called a Pedegg. I have a lot of rough peeling skin on my feet, and some of my callouses would pinch. The ped egg is like a little nugmag greater, that I rub over my feet and scrape the callouses off. It's one of the best ideas I'e ever come aross. I absolutely loe it!! It is a nice way to massage my feet oo, and to get the callouses to quit pinchig me.

I used to work in facotries and stand for alot of hours on a concrete floor. It killed my feet especially having to wear steel toe boots or shoes. My feet always hurt and I could not wait to sit down and get off of them. they would even hurt when I got out of bed also.

I have a sit down job, but my feet are sore from time to time. Using Johnson's foot soak is wonderful! Also if you put lotion (the kind for real dry skin) all on your feet and then but soaks on that is wonderful, too! Have a nice day.
