Have you ever downloaded copyrighted material from the internet?

The title may be little confusing but i just didn't get better phrase for it. With this i mean have you downloaded music of the people who have copyrighted their music like eminem, britney spears and alot more. Those were just examples. Or have you downloaded software which would pay otherwise and which is copyrighted. Also games that cost are usually copyrighted too. Might be little confusing, but i myself can admit of downloading copyrighted material from the internet. Mostly music. I myself can not be bothered to waste 20-30$ just to buy off few songs i like from the artist. I myself know very well that it is illegal, but yet i know many people do it. If you are huge fan of the artist it is wrong in my opinion to just download his albums. When buying an album you support the artist financially which means alot. So people, come here to admit your crimes ;). Also discussion about if its stealing or not and if its right or wrong :).

yes , i have recently downloaded my power dvd 8 and paid for its lisence key . what is new in that . i have also bought a song by shania tawin for 5 cent

If I had, I would never make the mistake of admitting to an illegal act on a public forum. Equally, I'd never publicly admit to listening to Britney Spears, as I have a reputation for impeccable good taste.

I never admitted that i listen britney spears ;) i just said few examples that everybody knows. What comes to admitting illegal act. I would say its ok. I know its a pretty serious crime, but police forces are not for the guys who download these things. They are more for the sharers like aXXo whom is known by the countless amounts of new movies he has spreaded over the internet with torrents.

I'm not going to lie i download music. I used to have a program that i paid 20 bucks for unlimited downloads for a year. I like that way better because technically i did pay for it and i got what i wanted.

Cool, i myself never used those programs which cost. I myself use torrents, limewire and dc++ which are all free to use. And yes technically u paid for it, but you paid for the wrong guy :)
