Smart Work Vs Hard Work

Well i don't think the two ideas are mutually exclusive .I think that they can compliment each other .I mean if "working smart" means saving yourself from hard work and getting the same results or more efficiently then why not? A broom or a vacuum? The choice is yours!

well, some people think doing a job in less time with a illegal trick is smart work. but i do not believe in that philosophy. In my opinion a work never can be done unless you work on that matter very seriously and with all of your best effort and that is actually hard work . So, i think there is no difference in hard work a smart work ,it is a personal view to think a work hard or smart. idle people always try to find a shortcut and they think themselves a smarter guy. but actually they are doing their own harm nothing else

let's put it this way.. hard work is always smart work because you always get positive results from hard work which is smart but smart work can be hard work , or can be easy depends on the one who does it.. some get the job done in seconds because they find a smart way to do it.. and others need to put effort into the job even if it was done ( smartly ) it just needs hard work to be done.. hope you got what I mean

i think.. smart work is hard work with less effort.. hard work is smart work with more work.. hehe.. =)

If I were to answer that question, I'd say that smart work is a subset of hard work because one can work hard but not work smart, but one cannot work smart unless one works hard. The essential difference between both of them is that smart work accounts for efficiency and efficacy, hard work doesn't necessary account for both so long as "work" is being done.
