Is it really an Upgrade... Or just a mere change with few less options?

You are right, this new layout seems to be just a rearrangement of the buttons here in mylot. So maybe it isn't really an upgrade. But I would say that I can use this better than the other one. You can easily spot the tabs and the buttons. And it looks cleaner and neater now. what I am also missing is the time stamp of the earnings update. The one that says "earnings update 22 hours ago" under the earnings. Have you seen it? So now I don't know when is the update. I just have to wait until my earnings change numbers. Have a nice day!

What difference does it make? Those "features" were of no use to me especially the "users by ratings".no-one is better than anyone else. I think that the owners of the site can do what they like, it IS their site and they PAY us for the privilege of being here.

Yeah, i noticed it too, even i dont like the new layout of mylot. In addition, there are no new features, instead less features, i wonder y??

this is not a total systme upgrade...its jsut a new layout of the webpage..but only time willl tell whether this new one is better... but i think i like it as it is pretty new and i was tired of the old one...

I dont think mylot has added any new features. Its just that they have changed the way the page looks. I too have not noticed any new features here.

It may be those options were least used by other members so they decided to remove it.

I refuse to call this an upgrade. They have just rearranged the positions of the tabs, nothing else. When I saw this layout the first day, imagine my frustration when I simply couldn't locate the "sign in" option for a while! After that, I spotted it, insignificantly placed at the top left of the screen. Ok. The text space has increased, that's true. A discussion now fills the entire screen width instead of being shunted to the right by the options panel. But that's all to it. I could have done with a few themes being thrown in with the package also so that we could make our profiles seem better. But apparently, they haven't gone to make any new things. This is just a rearrangement, nothing else.

The new layout looks good too. I think they have made many changes as far as the navigation is concerned. I remember finding friends by location a couple of days back, its just that I don't remember how I got there. I will research it and let you know if I find it again. Other than these look and feel updates, there could be many updates which are done on the back end which normal users can not see. So, if they say that there are some updates and we don't see many, they probably are done on the back end of the site to manage it better. Also, these updates are usually done in phases. So the current updates we see could be just 1st step towards the improvement of the look of the site. Remember Orkut for example. If you remember orkut before two years, then you could see how they have improved it over the time in small phases and how the sites looks now. Of course, if you don't find things in the new site, that could be an issue which mylot should consider.
