Okay, now this isn't a statement you want to ever hear....Especially from a 4 year old.....
I was shopping with my grandsons and they found some cute outfits that they wanted me to buy for them..
My 4 year old grandson wanted an outfit that had a crab on it...The 6 year old wanted the one with a shark....There were a couple others they wanted and when we finished putting them in the cart.....
The 4 year old says, "Thanks for giving me crabs, grama."

Lol... That's so cute... Things that kids say, eh? I had something similar happening when my daughter went back to school one year, she was 6 at the time... Teacher asked her what she did for the summer & she starting talking about going on vacation... She finished it by "Yeah, my daddy & I slept together while mommy was out!!!" To hear that from a teacher, at a PTA meeting, I almost crawled into a hole... Of course teacher had a sence of humor about it... Those years are the best, ain't it...???

LOL... And here, all she was trying to say was about the times we took a nap when mommy was out getting dinner or at the swimming pool... Little things they say that are just priceless... As embarrassing as it may be at the moment, I love those little things that makes us all laugh at ourselves... What makes it even funnier is that in their mind, they don't see anything wrong with what they're saying & it makes perfect sense...

Little kids, You just gotta love them. My daughter was at a friends house and they were talking about crabs, the kind that you eat. The friend's son of about four went out in the yard singing Grace has crabs several times at the top of his lungs.

Remember the show "Kids Say the Darndest things"? I think this is why the show was made. My daughter has had some pearls of her own. Too cute, lol

Kids are so innocent it is a lot of fun. I am glad you are getting to spend time with them.
I have heard of similar statements, heard in the wrong contest, like my hubby says he was working in a hospital, wearing scrubs all the time. One day he was walking with his mom and sister, and one of the nurses he knew saw him, and blurted out "You look different in clothes".
He is a shy guy and was about 21 and was very embarrassed.

Kids do say the darnest things! That's one of those statements that 15 yrs from now you can tell him the story and embarrass him back! Payback sometimes is worth the wait.
