Do you become clumsier the week before Aunt Flo Comes to visit?

I am home from work early today. Aunt Flo Came to visit this morning. I was in too much pain to make it all day. Because it is not raining (yet) I have decent internet connection, so I thought I would start this discussion before we get pounded (again). I do not really keep track of when this unwanted visitor is due for her next visit. What I do notice, (after she gets here) is that the week before she visits, I am accident prone. I drop almost everything I pick up (sometimes more than once) I bang my head, I hit my knee... you get the picture. Normally, I am not like this, but I do recall last month having the same problem right before the B!tch visits. Then once she's her.. I somehow find my grace. Have you noticed your lack of grace, the week before se arrives? If not.. try to pay attenion the week before you start your period and see if you experience the same phenomena. I have mentioned this to a few of my girlriends, they have also reported the same thing. They are also not usually clumsy beforehand, but sure as h3ll break a lot of dishes during this time Please share If the rains do not come.. I will respond to as many as I can.. if not I WILL get to all of them this weeked

Hi Yes a know a lot of women who get clumsy and forgetful as well as moody at this time of the month, you are going to go off me now as I must be one of the luckiest woman alive as I have not had Aunty Flo visit since I was a teenager even though after my accident I have gone onto have three children which is bizzare, I don't question it as I must have saved a fortune over the years in products eh and now at 45 I begin to wonder if I will suffer big time when I get menopausal or if I will as no change change to go through. LOL. Ellie :D

I giess I am just an odd person but it didn't affect me getting pregnant even though they thought it would. My girls though take B6 to help even out the mood swings and it does seem to work. Ellie :D

I never paid that any thought because I'm too busy trying to control myself from killing everyone in the house because they are pi**ing me off so bad! I'll have to see next time if I tend to be more clumsy but I might be able to post if I am or not unless they have internet connection in the county jail I live in a house full of men: the dog, the kitten, three boys, 1 big boy. IT STINKS! Hope you don't get rained out and can "enjoy" your day off.

Actually I'm not clumsier the week before, however I do notice that the week before I tend to get highly emotional and I get very b!tchy with nearly everyone around me, also I tend to eat ALOT more the week before than I normally do. But the weirdest thing I do, is I get this spurt of energy the week before and get the urge to extremely clean my house, including re-arragnge the furnitures.

you know, I never really thought about it until you posted but I think you may be right. I can remember a few clumbsy incidents right before I start. I will pay more attention next time.

I believe dizz, that this clumsy trait is in direct relationship to our bodies retaining and holding on to water. That extra water is what makes us feel fat and bloated and in truth we are. you might notice your rings are tighter, your shoes a bit more snug. That adds to fumble fingers and our brains more sluggish. Even minutely our reactions are not as fast....

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I never thought of it that way, but I think you are right. I am usually half-fast (or is it half-assed ) normally.. but I know I get worse whe that B!tch comes a knockin

I get really really tired and could literally sleep for days. But I think it is because lately whenever Aunt Flo comes around she really comes around and floods through everything if you know what I mean. I have noticed that my daughter gets very angry violently so just before this time, but after that time she gets okay again, but just before she just has extreme rages for lack of better term. Anyway, the only thing I want to do during that time is just go lay down and sleep, until aunt flo goes away again. and sometimes she stays a long time, like several weeks, I think that is way too long.

I also get REALLY tired.. but only the day before. I get very angry as well.. it sucks.. men don't know how lucky they are. If Aunt Flo stays for weeks.. you might wanna go get checked out. There are medicines you can take to help shorten your period and/or only have 1 1 every four months. I need to go too... sigh

You poor thing! Sounds like it's psychological, dreading the visit, a kind of protest that you won't voice. Maybe you should take up drinking or valium the week before she visits! What's so bad about Aunt Flo? You probably don't have the time but I'd like to hear the story. Do you have a chronic pain problem?

I have heard that is very painful. My ex-sister-in-law had that and nearly had a hysterectomy. I had fibroids and had a hysterectomy, they were very painful, too. They can scrape that out, you know, and you'll be good for a couple or more years. You have my sympathy, for the pain and for your Aunt Flo!

OMG, I just realized who you meant by Aunt Flo! LOL!! I haven't had to deal with her for nine years, since my hysterectomy. It's been so wonderful, I laugh inside when I pass the "feminine products" aisle! Man, I wondered where you got off calling your "aunt" a witch, you seem like such a nice person that I was shocked! I'm quite dense sometimes!

You know.. your probably right.. subconscious becomes distracted.. I know it is not on a conscious level, because I don't tend to keep track of it. I would love a big ole bottle of valium and lots of vodka , however, they frown upon that kind of thing at work. I have endometriosis http://www.endometriosis.org/endometriosis.html. It is VERY painful for the first 2-3 days of the cycle. Valium seems to be the only thing that helps after the initial 3 days... I am "ok" again... (whatever OK is) Thanks for your concern

make the time for your own sanity...take 30 minutes off and just go for a walk around the block to clear ur head or go sleep in bed for a while and meditate by yourself to rejuvenate before u get back into things again.

Ohhhhhh...yes. I do notice the same thing. I also get forgetful, I "space out" and sometimes get depressed..I also notice that I even get more intuitive (the only good thing). Not that Im glad this happens to you, but Im glad Im not the only one.

Wow... intuition? I may have to pay attention to that one. I am usually pretty intuitive naturally, but I will see if it increases.. thanks for that insight

I can't say that Aunt Flo has any control over my clumsiness... I'm very clumsy & accident prone to begin with... I will pay much more attention to if I'm more clumsy then normal the week b4 I start... but, really... if I don't walk into a wall every single day, something is wrong LOL

The week before aunt flow came, I was forgetful, clumbsy, do some of the most ingorant things. Like trying to put the milk in the cabnet and put the cereal in the fridge. I will walk into a room 5 times before I actually remembered what I went in there after. and yes, my knees are bruised up, my shins look like a 2 year olds. Well, I don't have to really worry about it any more, or so I thought. I laid Aunt flow to rest a few weeks ago, but her 2 sisters are still hanging around. They are still busy but have no place to go. I still know when Aunt Flo should be visiting, but only her memory haunts me. I get clumbsy, stoopid, hot flashes, etc. And it's only for a few days. But it's the same few days every month.

Welcome to Mylot! I hope you enjoy your time here! I do dumb things like that too.. for instance, I went to work yesterday (an hour after she arrived), saw a to-go cup on my desk that I forgot to throw away Thurs before I left.. .. did I throw the cup away??? OH NO.. I threw my car keys away!! Brilliant! It took me about 30 seconds to realize what I did too...

LOL!!! I can't top that one, but the other day, we had our new shed delivered. My hsuband waves me over, and I tossed my keys on the windshield. It took me the rest of the day and into the next morning to find them. Or hears a good one. I'm all the time miss placing my glasses. I toss them hear and there. I looked for them for over a half an hour. My husband finally told me they were on top of my head. My excuse is, I have three girls.

I have noticed this, i usually just seem to walk into things like tables and stuff just before this little friend arrives!! my mum has always said the sam thing too!! well now we know we're not alone!! I wonder if there's some sort of scientific reason for this?!

I'm extremely clumsy I try and use it as an excuse not to do dishes but it never works so things get broken sometimes. I also find that is something is going to go wrong then that's when it happens or maybe I'm just too sensitive.

LOL... well.. at least when you break em.. you can just toss em. I get really sensitive too.. and things DO go wrong more often at this time... it is not your imagination.. everyone is out to get us
