Well, I love music so and I love singign but im not the expert type when it comes to singing, most of the or almost alwaysI am off key.The only confidence I have is when im in the bathroom, where only me myself and I can hear the music im singing and thus could not hsrm anyone or annoy anyone who might be able to hear it. I also admire those who really have the talent of singing.Well, for me I will have to appreacite these people than try to be one of them.

i am in a band, i play bass guitar. i have a family of musicians and i grew up with a lot of musical instruments around the house. my dad said i had a good voice but i dont have much courage to sing. in the band i sing three or four songs in every set but that is not a full solo. i am having a hard time singing too when you take of my bass guitar. it is like my bass guitar is my safe spot. i can sing but not that courageable and i can also sing as long as there are a lot of people standing on the stage with me. singing solo or or singing alone is not my forte.

Hi Zelmarq! I do sing when I am in the bathroom and that is the only place you can find me singing at the top of my voice. haha..I think I am not frustrated at all with my singing abilities which is by the way, off key all the time..it is the listeners who gets frustrated when they hear me sing especially my husband. haha.. I do admire people with talent like this. Take care and God Bless!

Well, we are the same, a voice that only the deaf can appreciate. But i beleive in the saying that goes practice makes perfect, so the more we sing the more is the possibility that we will get better in the future. have a nice day my friend and take care!!!

Hi dear friend! haha..Maybe that saying can work for you but this singing thing is the only thing that I have no hopes for in any day as long as I live. I can deal with that as long as I have other talents to get by. Now let me think what talents I have. haha..Have a nice day too my friend. lovelots..faith210

Similarly, I have no singing ability. But I got over insecurities about my voice a long time ago. I by no means force my horrendous vocals onto people, but if my friends and I are having a sing along in the car to our favorite tunes I have no inhibitions about belting it out. my voice may not sound perfect, but it is too much fun to squelch it. I say - let your inner diva out! sing!

I am taking a singing course, but what helped me was a friend of mine who was a singer and had a piano. She would play the note and have me sing it over and over again so I got it right. I was horrible when I first started. So it does not all come easy. Oh I hardly sang in the bathtub did the doolie doolie doolie day stuff. Oh and we have to do all those scales, and do ra mi fa so stuff, and keep our mouths open a certain way, pronounce the vowels and not sing through our noses and for me it is hard.

I get frustrated when I try to sing sometimes too. there are alot of songs that I would love to be able to sing but my voice just isn't cut out for it. I have a very country voice with a country accent and my words just do not sound right when I try to sing other types of songs.

Hi Zel, I have no talent also in singing and no matter how much I tried, I am still out of tune..LOL! I have tried videoke, but I don't know how to ride the timing..I can sing a little bit better when there is no microphone..LOL! I also admire people who can sing well...I was thinking before maybe if I started singing when I was small, I am good now! LOL! Since, I have known a lot of people who are not born to have the voice, they just develop it by constant singing! Anyway, I was so shy before but now that I am a little bit matured..hahahaha! I can sing any song even out of tune with friends, family and with my husband! It's fun!

Believe me, I know all about this. I wanted to be a writer for centuries but could never get down to it and a friend asked me, at the time, why do you torture yourself like that ? Now I write, thanks to the internet and other encouragements, all the time and the satisfaction is eminent. I cannot sing simply because I have a voice based in my nostrils and know nothing about music. One day, while in the office of another company I used to work for, in a moment of exhilaration, I broke out in a song of Happy Birthday for the entire office to hear. It was so awful people blocked their ears and a good friend, who worked with me then, likes nothing better than to ask me to sing, every time he sees me. I'm sorry I can't solve your problem but I can certainly understand it.

I would love to be able to sing - just for my own amusement, definitely NOT in public. Unfortunately, I sound absolutely terrible, so even the shower performances are woeful. It would be lovely to make your voice really soar when you felt happy, though. Alas - not likely!

I cant carry the tune either. Sometimes my friends go out to sing, i just sit and listen. I am so jealous of them and feel a bit frustrated. One of hobbied is listening to the music, especially when i am upset, it can make me down. Just enjoy the moment that makes you feel good. You see there are some other pepole have this similar problem.

I absolutely love to sing, I would say it's a passion, I never had the guts though to get up in front of people and sing, except a couple of times doing Karoke. I have been complemented a lot on my voice, but have never really believed that my voice is that good. But growing up I always wanted to pursue a singing career, just like you never had the confidence, but if you are young enough and feel good about the way you sound, Go for it!!

Hello Haze! I think you can sing. I believe all of us can sing. It's just that some have the gifting of an entertainer and a few of us are gifted to sing for ourselves and to a few family members (remember singing in front of family members when you were small and your mother clapped the loudest?) and most specially to the Divine Creator who created also our voice. We attempt to sing like one of the divas we admire (mine is Karen Carpenter because i don't need to reach those high notes singing her songs) but there is no voice like yours, especially to the ears of the One who created it. Have a nice and inspiring day here in MyLot!

Well, you said it very well. Our voices were made for us to give praise to the One who created us and this is for His glory and not ours. Thank you for reminding me my friend. I am just glad I have another friend here on mylot.

I always wished that I could sing. For years I longed to act, sing and dance on the stage. But I didn't inherit my mother's talent. She was a very good singer.

My friends often tell me that I should sing professionally. They often tell me that I sing beautifully and that I shouldn't keep my wonderful voice from others, but I am shy about this sort of thing so I haven't pursued this part of my life.

Do u forget that we sing because we like to sing not to please others. anyway, i never feel frustrated even i cannot sing quite well. if ur voice limits ur performance, at least one thing is up to u, don't forget put ur emotion in it, people will be affected by ur singing. my colleagues give me a nickname "microphone holder/ grasper".
