A question for the women : Pregnancy and Fame

Hello to all the mylotters of this fine mylotting community,I got to thinking earlier and after watching a movie my fiance and I talked about women and fame,so I would like to pose a few questions to you fine mylotters, and see what your opinion is on the subject of pregnancy and fame,if you were to become pregnant but are also famous whether it be in the singing career, acting career or sport career, would you give up your fame to raise your child or would you continue to be in the spotlight and on the road after your pregnancy?Would you make it known that you are pregnant?Or would you try to hide it,in the fear that it might hurt your career, whatever it might be?Would you realize that your child is more important than your career,or would you be selfish, and put your career first?Let me start out by saying the movie we watched was entitled Game Plan and featured The Rock and Madison Pettis from Cory In The House, a popular Disney Channel show,I am not sure what my fiance's opinion is exactly on this, but I believe and I think that my fiance will also agree with me that if a woman were to become pregnant and was in the spotlight she should give up her fame if only for a while so that she could raise her child,I know that home school is an option and if you have a lot of money I am sure you can pay for your child to get an education while you were on the road if you so chose to take your child along with you, however,I would rather raise my child and at home where I would know that the child is safe as while being on the road you may not be able to take care of your child at all times and may have to rely on your agent to help you and I would also want to know that my child can feel my love for her or him,I will appreciate anyone who responds to this discussion and as with all my other discussions I will appreciate all mylotters who take this discussion seriously and give me honest and truthful answers and I since I try strive to be a good mylotter myself,I promise to read all responses, and give comments depending on the length of the responses, have a great day.

for me, i would rather take a break from my career even though I am already at my peak in order for me to take care of myself and my baby. The child for me is my greatest gift from the Lord and not all women are given chance to bear and rear a child so i would take this opportunity to cherish the gift of God. Anyway, I know i could still go back to my career when my child is growing up. I could get somebody to baby sit but I have to see to it that during his formative years, i will be there on my child's side so that as he grow up, he would always remember how i loved him and prioritized him in my life.

First I would like to say that not only was that beautiful, but also very admirable. Also I would like to say a welcome to my lot! I wanted to mention the lord in my own response but felt that not only were your words more beautiful then I feel I could make them, but also because I did not want to seem as if I was stealing your idea.

I am glad to hear that you would rather take a break from your career to take care of yourself and your child, and yeah the child is the greatest gift from the Lord and I know not all women are given the chance to bear a child, and I am glad you would take the opportunity to cherish the gift from God,and yeah you could always return to your career when your child is growing up,and yeah you could get a babysitter but it is better to be there during the formative years, and that is a good thought to make sure that they know how much you love them, and that you put them first in your life, thanks for responding, have a great day, good luck in your life, and Happy Posting.

I agree that the child a precious gift and that everything else pales in comparison. I don't think that it is necessary to completely put the career on hole. I am assuming that with that fame, they have money. I think most celebrities have more control over their time than the average person. I would definitely cut back. But I think that as a celeb, I would have the funds and tools necessary to have short work days, long absences, nannies and caretakers who could travel with me and my child, a support network that would make us average people look like we neglect our children in comparison. Many celebs go months and years without doing anything new and they don't have children. I think that lifestyle affords you more flexibility and options. I have six beautiful, wonderful children and I couldn't take a break from working or they would have been hungry and homeless. I don't think I am any worse of a parent because of it. My children are well loved, well taken care of and well adjusted.

Yes the child is a very a precious gift and I am glad that you agree that everything else pales in comparison, and you have a point it might not be completely necessary to put the career on hold, and yeah with fame, they most likely have money, and usually celebrities do have more control over there time than average people, and I am glad that you would cut back, and yeah if you were a celebrity you probably would have the funds for all those things, and I agree many celebrities do go months and years without doing anything new, even if they do not have children, and that is a good point, that lifestyle would allow them more flexibility and more options, that is awesome that you have six beautiful children, and I can understand that you can not take a break from work or they would be hungry and homeless, and that does not make you any worse of a parent,on the contrary it makes you a great parent because it shows that you are putting your kids first, and I am glad that your children know they are loved, thanks for responding, have a great day, good luck in your life, and Happy Posting.

Baby you are right in saying that I would agree with you in all of your points here. I think that if I were to become pregnant and also happened to be in the spotlight that I would definitely give up my career because nothing is more important to me then you, the child, and family. I love you with all of my heart and soul baby and I can't wait to not only have your child but also your name!
