What a compliment. The mind of our dear Tess has been so messed with she finally succumbed to my insanity and created an interest group named after me!
I'm falling down laughing with absolute glee. I belong already to a number of 'personal' interest groups titled with other user names, and I do have my 'sparks tales' that I started myself, but THIS - to have someone else start a group under "People I Admire" with MY name on it just takes the cake.
So everyone grab a plate and have a slice of my cake and make jokes, poke fun, rant rave and let your hair down in this category and use the opportunity to feed back to sparks some of the insanity she's been feeding you! I promise to take it all with a grain of salt and just have fun.
My thanks for the honour and no sh*t, but I'm really looking forward to reading what you all have on your minds that could be posted in this amazing (
) new interest group!

person. you really deserve your own interest group'
you are our spark and we all love you for your
warmth, your sense of humor, your intelligence and
'welljust everything about you. I know I always look
for your discussions and enjoy your stories about your
home town. it reminds me of my own small home town
of 1300 people, one old maid and herdog, that is the sign coming into Newell South Dakota. my friend back there tells me'the
pop. is now only 600 which makes me feel a little sad. I have not been back in years as I haven't had the funds to go from Ca to s,D. but any way hurrah for your own interest group. yay.

Oh sweet Hatley. It can be hard to go home again after so long away, so maybe you're better off not seeing the decline in person. I was shocked at my own town several years ago when I took my husband back. The trees had grown but the store fronts were bare and boarded and the memories I had seemed fiction compared to the 'new' reality.
And yeah - my own interest group! ROFL Whodathunkit?

I think it's wonderful Spark. Why didn't I think of it, lol. I thnk of you as a mentor and a friend. I ust love your antics and your talks. I look forward to what you have to say everytime I open my mail. It's refreshing to have something from you. If I am down you lighten my mind and thoughts and help me to feel better.
I hoe there are people in here that have the same effect for you. As you need these things too. You can not only inspre others you need to be inspired too.
I am pleased that someone thought to have a group for you! It is great! You deserve it.

Forget the cake - bring on the Bailey's!!! This is great - we get to hear more stories about life in the North!!
BTW - I just LOVED, in a literary way, the story about Mad Meg. It hurts to think of what she went through, but there was in her (unlike in you 
) a SparkofSanity or she couldn't have realized she was finally free and set fire (I'm assuming) to her house of hell! I am so glad people didn't think she needed to be institutionalized - she had been locked up all her life!
Anyway, yahoo!!!

I'm glad you found my little account of Megs literary. What a compliment. And VERY insightful of you to realize that she still retains sparks of sanity. And yes, I'm convinced that she was responsible for the fire that set her free. Maybe illegal, but perfectly understandable and really the only option considering.
But hey, do you really think I can bring Megs to sanity if I have none of my own? ROFL
