Sure! I could definately survive a day without my cellphone! Lol, I was born in the generation where there were no cellphones, and later on in my teen years, pagers. So, handphone is just a convenient tool to keep in touch with my friends but it is not a necessity. Lol, though I have two cellphones on my side, I don't use it at how, unless I feel like it (which is hardly)! Sometimes, my friends complain that I have cellphones just for show, and I still remain uncontactable with it! So.. :shrugs:

Hey, she said a week, not a day-LOL!! I just love my phone, as long as it doesnt ring! hehehe. I keep it on vibrate or LOWLOW so if I lose it for a bleep minute.. I can find it by calling it! heheh OK i have a cellphone, no camera, on all the time... cell with camera, (phone i had with a friend- use to play games- sudoku, ms pacman, tetris!) use as a backup when mom drops me off and I need her (happens often) and a PDA - for addresses and games and music! and surfing the net (i use my wireless for it!) USE IT MOSTLY FOR IM JUST cuz it is a PDA... use when i am driving for bluetooth. what are the chances all 3 at the same time? never lol Dont worry about it -you have persona1 reasons and that is all u need to say!!lol

you have a point there. maybe having a cellphone or not is situational also.

I am one of those strange people who doesnt own a cell phone. When I go away on business with my job they have to give me a works phone so I am contactable! I think that for me the cell phone has been one of the worst invention of modern history, nowhere are you safe from an annoying ringtone or even worse, an annoying person with no care in the world about who hears their side of what must be the most unimportant conversation ever. In an age of 24 hour contactability, people look at me strangely when I say I have no phone, most do not believe me and one person actually took offence when I could not give them a number. Having no cellphone has no impact whatsoever on my life and if you find it hard to give up yours, just for a day, I feel so sorry for you and for the state of the generation we have made. OK, rant over LOL. All the best, J.

I wouldn't have a problem. The world seems to be obsessed with them. Granted, they come in handy in an emergency, but everywhere you look people are just crazed with them. They're in restrooms chatting away as they do their business, they are holding up checkout lines in stores because they are chatting. They are walking in front of cars crossing the street without paying attention to the traffic. Everywhere you look people are holding them scanning to see if, God forbid they missed a call. They are texting like they are at a race. What does everyone have to talk about so much? I guess no one spoke before? I've never seen so much hand clutching before, I mean clutching that phone. I don't see people clutching their childrens hands as much as that precious PHONE!!!!!! I sometimes think there are going to be physical problems with the hands from holding these things.

hehehe. your absolutely right. people get so obsessed with cellphones that it lost its real purpose. some of us just want to have it for its features. cellphones are not meant for messaging at all it becomes the haven of fun and popularity.

While I am righ there with you, I do hope you make backups. There are several great programs to use. Don't just rely on one program. I have 3 that I use. The i know that if I cannot use my cell for a day, or I lose it, then I wont be totally lost without it. MY computer on the other hand, I need to take my own advice and back it up a few more times then I do. lol. I would be willing to share the programs if interested.. just need the make of the phone and cell company. The easiest is to get the mobile software and back it up to the computer. This way if the day came - no phone, You wont feel awful Ya know what i mean?

I used to be addicted to my cellphone useage. but now I only talk 1 or 2 a day. I could live without it I guess. but do I want to right now? no, its the only way I talk to my friends out of town. I talk mobile to mobile usa wide. I don't let the cellphone consume my every hour of the day anymore and I am glad of that. cellphones can be so stressful, because everyone is calling.

I grew up when we did not have cellphones. I could try to get by without mine, but it would be really hard, as I live alone and my cellphone is my only phone. I don't have a house phone, as I don't need one. I can't afford 2 phone bills. But I kinda do need my cellphone as I have 2 kids and 3 grankids, and ya never know whats gonna happen, plus my boss calls me to work extra time, so it would be hard without my phone.
