A very interesting and potentially fascinating question! Whether you realize it or not, I think sometimes (for some people) their answers to these aesthetic types of questions really can reveal a lot about them as a person. As for the canvas of my mind, my paint would be... passion, perhaps (the kind evoking good, positive energy, of course)...

I do like a quote by Danny Kaye: Life is a canvas, throw all the paint on it you can.I like to paint with lots of creativity, and yes, kindness, but also truth.

I would use assertive but loving guidencce. I am sure it would compliment my hubad's gentleess quite well.
