Do You Write Poetry?

Hi, i do like poetry and enjoy writing it, actually i am thinking of creating a blog to post some of my poems. Ill post the address when i finish it!

i love writing poems. i think its my way of expressing myself and whay i feel. i really wanted to share some of it but still dont have the confidence to show it to others mayne some other time friend. thank you

Yes, I write poetry. I took several creative writing courses in high school, and have taken several (I am actually taking my third now) online courses at the Online School of Poetry taught by a high school classmate of my dad's. I write poetry on my own when the mood strikes me but I would not call myself a serious poet. I tend to use very melodramatic, dark tones, so if you don't like that you probably won't care for most of my poetical ponderings. Here is one I wrote several years ago entitled "Perilous Abjection:" Immaculate targets with eyes abound Black-laced cupids on their holy ground Blood and salt staining their skin Faking not happiness since left chagrined A flight to darkness, many confound If masked people'd think they're just playing around Tis why they wear black, let the truth be propound A new way to fly is just a new way to sin Immaculate targets with eyes abound Craving autonomy their secrets expound A remedy for your soul in this lost and found With a need for control they feel akin When they come here where all know where they've been Seeking that light that shines eminence renowned Immaculate targets with eyes abound There will be more on my website when I get it back up, and will post the link in my profile when I do. =)

I used to write poems allot during my high school drama and English classes. But I haven't wrote any in a long time. My boyfriend wants me to start writing again because he is a rapper and he wants to use my poems in with his lyrics along with things he has wrote.

yes i do,some of them are transformed to songs, and some of them stays as a poem and i included them in my illustrations to be given to my friends..

I write poetry almost daily. I just completed a 30 poems in 30 days contest. I was supposed to find out if I won today, but there is no word yet. I'm a happy member of a local poetry group. I have even created several poetry chapbooks; small collections of poetry. Their are 8 now.

I do. I don't see the talent that people claim that I have. I don't know. I don't really put a lot of thought into them. I concentrate more on feature long stories. Those are twice as meaningful to me. And I can get my point across with stories. I feel like I'm lacking points with my poems.

i still consider myself a newbie in this scribbling activity although i already noticed that i wanted to write or had the inclination when i was still in high school but i just can't write something or there are just no words coming our of my thoughts and translate that in writings. it is not until 2001 that i (forced myself to make one) was able to create one, it was kinda long and after 3 years or so, i revised it to make it palatable and so does some of my works. since then i was able to write about 16 compositions and recently i found out a site where to publish it and when i check yesterday, there were 9 articles already that were approved and published. PM when if you like to take a peek of my simple thoughts..

i love poetry, and i write some, when im depressed, i get my inspiration when im sad.

I love writing poetry actually I am the former literary editor in our school's newspaper, I can't share anything because I have already passed them all in a publishing company.

Yes, I write poetry, short stories and just about anything else that would come to mind. I even wrote a play, although I never though I had that in me. Writing is who I am. I checked out a while back, meaning I really haven't been penning any thought in words. I will however post some of my work to encourage others to reach for their destiny of greatness.
