I think this is the cutest thing!!! Amanda and I had heard of these plants and she decided she wanted to give one to Mark if it really worked so I got one for her on Ebay. We were both a little skeptical, I'll have to admit, to see if it would really work. Well it came in last Friday and she planted it, there was a guarantee with it that the plant would grow. The instructions said it would start to sprout in five to seven days. Low and behold it really did and by this morning the message "I Love You" is showing on the plant!! I have uploaded a picture of it with this discussion. I hope it shows up okay, you have to look closely but the message is definitely there!! She is so excited about giving it to Mark tomorrow when he comes!! He can take it home and put in his kitchen window and after six weeks plant it outside. :)

That is the most precious thing but I can't say that I have heard of it prior to that. I think that it would be a very nice gift to give to not only a partner, but also to other family. It makes me think that this is a message truly from god! So very beautiful! Have a wonderful day!

The plant is just as cute as can be and really makes a neat gift to give. :) Mark really is enjoying his. Amanda told me that he said it has two more sprouts on it. :) I'm seriously thinking about getting my mother one for her birthday and my mother-in-law for Christmas. :)

Aww, that is just precious, it's sprouting more? I think it would be a great gift to give anyone, and I would definitely give it to my mom and mother in law if I Were you.

That's neat Shelia. I've not seen or heard of these before. I'll bet Mark was surprised she was able to do that, lol.

He was surprised Lucy!! In fact, he thought she had written "I Love You" herself on the plant LOL!! He thought she was kidding him but she assured him that she had not writtten it, that that is not her handwriting Ha! Ha! He was finally convinced and said "That is amazing!!"

Good Morning!! They still have some of them on Ebay. I just bought another one this morning because a friend of mine wanted me to get one for her and she is going to pay me back for it. They are as cute as can be. Amanda gave the plant to Mark and he really likes it. :)

I have never heard of anything so romantic. I think that's the neatest thing I have ever heard of. Now I want one. I'm never a person to think that way, but this is twice in my life this has happened. I fell in love with a most beautiful plant a friend had one time and I asked her what the name of the plant was and she told me it was a Star of Bethlehem. I looked everywhere and couldn't find one then one day my friend called me and said she had a pot of coffee on the brew and she couldn't drink a full pot by herself so I should go over and help her drink it. Well when I got there she did have a half a pot made as we always just have one cup but the reason she wanted me there is because she had potted a slip from her plant and it was doing well so she gave it to me. I was so pleased. That was about 5 years ago and I still have it. Thank You for telling us about this plant. I sure hope your knees and legs aren't sore after the fall.

It really is a remarkable little plant Jill. :) I bought another one on Ebay this morning because a friend of mine is wanting one and she is going to pay me back for it. With the shipping they are just slightly over $10 but they are well worth the price. :) Have a great day!!

It truly is odd but the plant actually has the message on it once it grows. :) We were amazed ourselves but excited about it actually working. Amanda said Mark really likes the plant too. :)
