Hey guys!? What do you think make Mos Burger a success in the saturated world of burgers, fries and fast food restaurants? I think it's their specialty rice burgers! This is something which other fast food restaurants do not have. And they are unique also because of this. Secondly, it's their ice milk tea and milkshakes! I remember it as being one of the most popular item on the menu, besides their teriyaki chicken burger and yakiniku rice burgers. What about you? Why is Mos Burger a success?

When I was in Japan four years ago, I patronized their Mos Burger. The presentation and variety of the food are very similar. But of course, they have flavors which we do have and I can't quite recall what exactly. I love the yakiniku rice burger. I always eat that burger. I love their fries too. It's thick and I can really taste Potato. The fries from the other fast food restaurants are too common. I love milkshake too but I realize not all the outlets carry milkshake.

It's much too expensive and too space consuming for all of the outlets to carry the milkshake machine. Lol.. some outlets sales volume is not that great to justify for one of those to be placed.. So you will only see the milkshakes being sold in high volume stores. Their fries are really different from all the other fast food places, right? It's really thick and delicious whereby other places are selling thin fries that requires one to take 5-6 sticks at one go to get the potatoey taste of the fries! If I am not wrong, the outlets in Japan serves pork which is not sold in Singapore because of the Muslim crowd. Lol.. I had looked at the menu before and it does not look that much different. And of course since thier ingredients came from Japan, the taste and presentations of their food should not have differed too much. Thanks for your comments! Happy Mylotting!!

You must really try it one of these days! It's that little indulges that we pamper ourselves with occassionally. MOS Burger is not cheap, but eaten once in a while, you will feel that it is just totally so worth it! Try it and you won't regret it!

I like MOS burgers.. hehe =D I too like their rice burgers, teriyaki burger as well as their unagi rice burger.. hehe =D Though there are always queues, but it's worth the wait and the burgers are served fresh and piping hot.. hehe =D That's what MOS burger beats all the other fast food ^_^ I like the teriyaki chicken and unagi burger is partly because of the sauce they use, which goes so well with the rice burger.. lol =D Now i'm drooling just thinking of it.. lol

Hehe.. Go out to the nearest MOS burger and get yourself a burger or something. Lol Frankly speaking, the burgers and food that are served at Mos Burger is really good and so delicious though small. It's true that their burgers are always served piping hot and fresh as the smaller outlets will cook each and every single order according to the orders that are placed. Even during the peak hours during lunch and dinner hours, this is still the case! So, it's a long wait for your orders! I used to work in Mos Burger for close to 6 years, and I must say that i thoroughly enjoy myself over there even though the pay is very low. (Actually it is not much different from my pay as an admin staff). The peak hours of the restaurant can get all our tempers up running as we prepare the food according to hours, and screaming and shouting among the crew and managers is all but common. Lol. But customers will grumble and complain about the long waiting time for their orders, but after that they would compliment us on the deliciousness of the burgers. That is the irony. Lol. Hmm.. their teriyaki chicken burgers is one of the hottest selling burgers. Lol, it is delicious I must say, but I could never understand the attraction for that burger. Lol, that is because the sauce they use for cooking that is the very normal teriyaki sauce that are sold in the Japanese markets in SIngapore. Lol, so I don't really find it worth it to eat that outside of my working hours, and I would have to pay for that. The unagi is good, I agree and I will always go back to eat that everytime I passed by MOS Burger even though I had resigned from there for close to 1 year. Hehe.. that is because up to the point of resignation and working in the kitchen for 3 years, I had never discovered the actual recipe for that burger and it is the only burger that I can never cook on my own. Lol.

haha.. How i wish i could, but the nearest mos burger for me will be in bugis, and i wonder if tiong bahru plaza has one?? hehe I was introduced to MOS burger when i was in secondary school, but that time i wasn't aware of the rice burger, and so i only had the normal chiken burger, with fresh milk.. lol =D It was only till recently about 1 yr back then i really tried mOS burger and that was my 2nd time eating it only.. haha =D this time it was another fren of mine introducing me to the rice burger and i was hooked.. lol =D It was really different and it tastes so authentic.. lol Working for 6 yrs?? Seems like u enjoy your time working there huh?? hehe =D I too work in a cafe for almost 5 yrs too, and normally ple working in F&B line for years, are usually not the ones really interested in that line.. It's more for the experience as well as the frenz we made there ^_^ Also the different kind of ple we meet, seeing both the good and bad side of humans.. lol It's such a waste that u din manage to learn how to cook the unagi, if not, u can start a MOS burger of your own too, given your experience u have.. hehe

I did enjoy myself thorougly in my stint in Mos Burger, and I believe that I would never had resign from that job if not for the fact that I had an industrial attachment from my polytechnic that I absolutely had to undergo for 6 months in order to graduate with a Diploma certificate. It's a pain in the a** for me to resign from the F&B line in order to go to work in an office with a grand total pay of $400 per month! But what to do? Lol, it's either I drop out of school, or I finished it off! And I chose to do the latter. You are absolutely right to say that usually people who work in the F&B line are the ones who are not really that interested in it! It's just that most of the time, we go into the F&B line because of fast cash, and well that is the only job that is open to youngsters below the age of 14! But, in the time I was working there, I came to love the job because of the close bonding we have with each and every one of the crew. And the fact that time passes so fast when we are working helps too! I did learnt how to cook the Unagi! Lol, it's not really that difficult. It's just that the sauce was premixed over at the manufacturer's side that I have no idea how the sauce was done. And even if I did managed to find out how the sauce was cooked, I will have no way to open another outlet, unless I have the money to purchase the franchise rights. Lol, did you know that Mos Burger has their own supplier and no other restaurants share the same supplier? That's why Mos Burger's ingredients are fresher and of higher grade than other Japanese fast food restaurant. Hehe. It's never too much to do something for something that we love, and that includes spending lots of time and money on transportation just to see that special somebody and this concept applies to food too! Hehe, it's not that far to travel from Tiong Bahru to Bugis anyway! But, I think that there is actually a nearer place to your house than Bugis. It's somewhere in the West, but I can't remember exactly where. Lol, never mind it's okay. Just satisfy your craving for a rice burger when you are in it's area the next time round! A cup of milk tea, and a rice burger with fat fries is all but a pleasure of life! Go and enjoy!!

There are no Mos Burgers in my area, but, even if there WERE some nearby, I doubt I would be eating there. I am not a big fan of fast food, except for Taco Bell!
