Hi Guys, I'm somewhat confused and more than a little perturbed. I want to set up a web site and have applied to open an account with a web hosting company called Lunarpages (I think located in California, their telephone number starts 714). I have paid for 12 months web hosting already but, they have said that before they can approve my account, they have asked me to fax a copy of the credit card I have used to open the account and also photo ID with my name on it. As I have never done this before I don't know what the procedure is. Is it normal to ask for this kind of ID, particularly the photo ID? The only thing I have is my passport, which has my date of birth, place of birth and signature; it's not as if they are ever going to see me!! Does anyone know this company and is the ID they have asked for correct? I'm not a resident of the US. Any comments or information would be appreciated.
