its XP antivirus 2008... its an application because if you downloaded it, it is in EXE file. if you downloaded it successfully, it will block your previous antivirus upgrade in the internet and will prompt that your antivirus is a threat.. then it will clean (duh!) your pc but before you know it it is the spyware that is spread to ur pc... moral lesson, dont download on antivirus... always think twice. dont be fooled by its good looking skin and icons, and i swear, your destop wallpaper will be changed into something scary!!!

I was a recent victim of that virus myself. I have to reformat my whole PC again because of that virus. I already learned from it. Mine I got was the 2009 version all of those that you mentioned was true.

it is "XP antivirus 2008"... its not the usual virus nor an antivirus... it is fatal rogue antivirus... just a reminder... dont download its application w/c is in EXE form... once you run it... it will surf the net and access its site over and over again. its stubburn even ur installed antivirus will be blocked... and to those who know how to remove applicatons in the system registry, you cannot do this in this thing because it blocks not only the REGEDIT, but also the Task manager so its horrible... again... its "XP antivirus 2008". the image that i uploaded is the application itself so you can recognize it now. pls!! save ur PC!!!

That happened with me I downloaded the security toolbar and my PC was invaded my adwares,spywares and I don't even know what were the other things.Then the real story began my IE windows started opening itself and I was doreted to all the sites selling their antiviruses and adwares I restored my PC and it was fine then please don't download anything if you don't know what is it exactly.

there are something pop up on the screen sometimes, if i open internet explorer, it is saying that it is anti-virus, but i keep on closing that site because i think it is not much important and i do not download much in the internet specially that kin of anti virus , coz my computer already had an antivirus of its own.
