Ever since I was a child, i tried my very best to learn how to swim.. I was enrolled to have a swimming lesson for several times but until now.. i don't know how to swim.. well, i can swim from one end of a pool to the other end but i can't swim in the middle of the pool where i can't step on anything.. It's a sad thing for me since i love going to the beach.. and because of this, there are times where i miss some enjoyment with my friends while having fun in the beach.. what about you.. do love swimming in the pool or going to the beach? how long do you spend in the beach or in the pool?

I love swimming. I have never had a lesson, but we used to go to the public pool and the beach a lot when I was a child, so I just learned - I can't even remember not being able to swim. It is quite unusual not to be able to swim here, but I do know people who can't. Keep trying - it's kind of like riding a bicycle - once you get the knack, you'll never forget how to do it. It sounds like you can swim, you just need to learn how to tread water and float.

i love swimming so much. i do love to swim on a pool. i'm scared of swimming in an open water like seas, beaches, etc... i learned to swim when i was 4. my family also loves to swim. try practicing the flatter kick on the middle of the pool with a floater on your side. when you get tired, grab the floater and rest for awhile then continue practicing. GOODLUCK!!!!!

luckily even though i haven't had any swimming lessons, God has given me the talent to use my instincts in trying to save myself from drowning. And they literally called it swimming. I just thankfully learned from my observations and experiences.

When I was a child, every Sunday I was brought to the beach by the sister of my grandma. That is every Sunday of my childhood after going to church. Look how tan I am now because of that. I enjoy swimming so much as much as my Aunt does. I guess that was how I came to love the sea and to enjoy and love swimming. At first, I can't go on my own. Many years passed and I didn't get the chance to swim whenever I want because of the busy schedule of school. When I became a teen, I explored my swimming capabilities again and there it goes, I can really swim without any tutor. So when I was in my sophomore year in college, I chose Swimming to be my P.E. so that I would enjoy my P.E. life at school. And I did. We had sessions once per week two hours per session and I learned a lot of the strokes which I am not really familiar with before (I just know how to survive in the deep before, not that correct strokes). After that my love for swimming grew and I always look forward for beach parties or pool parties then. I just love swimming. I don't care if I get tan all the time (which the people dislike). :)

I had swimming lessons when I was a child but these didn't teach me how to swim. I learned this when I was bathing in the sea on holiday in Devon when I was ten years old. I am not a strong swimmer but I love to swim in warm pools and the sea. I don't like to put my head underwater when I swim. I wear contact lenses and hate the feel of water going up my nose. When I was in Australia I snorkeled for the first time at the Great Barrier Reef. I had a snorkeling mask on so I liked having my head in the water. I could see colorful coral and all different colored, shaped and sized fish. I can do a few lengths of a pool and I can swim for ages in the sea if I am wearing my snorkeling mask. I swim slowly and I do it for enjoyment.

My girl friend isn't really into swimming but loves the beach... My daughter & I love to swim... My girl friend has to practically drag us out of the pool or beach... Last year, we went on vacation & hotel we went to had indoor pool... My daughter & I went down there as soon as the pool opened, at 10 in the morning & we stayed there pretty much all day, except to grab lunch & dinner... We stayed in the the pool till 9 p.m. when they closed the pool... My girl friend now knows better to take one day out of our vacation to just let me & my daughter go swimming all day...

I had swimming lessons when I was younger, and I can swim a tiny bit! Like from one end of the pool to the other. But like you I would never dream of swimming in the deep end of the pool! But then if I went swimming a lot more, I'd probably learn a lot more :)
