I WAS LOOKING AT THE NEWS AND IT SAID, LA. has been quiet for the last Ten years for having Earth Quakes. Well I am not trying to scare anybody but they said in the next few years it is going to be worst that is scarey, I am glad I don't live in Ca. Do you live in Ca.? Did you experience it. I talked to my Girl-friend and she said, It was bad, she lived where where it happened, Pomona Ca. Ok, give me your views on this? I am just Curious?

A few of our mutual friends here felt it. I have an Uncle that felt it too. I am also glad I don't live out there. I am really glad the earhquake didn't happen while I was out visiing last year, I would not have liked that.

You and me both Vicky! I am glad we don't have to go through that. I love Ca. though, but not to live. did you see Judge Judy they showed her on T.V. in her courtroom, when the Earth quake as going on. I was laughing telling my Girl-friend in Ca. Did you see Judge Judy running out of the courtroom, she was the first one to run, I thought it was so funny, the way she raises hell! LOl! she flew out of the Court room. It was funny!

Yeah, I experienced it and it was pretty strong! Luckily, there was no major damage and injuries. They've been saying that there will be bad earthquakes my entire life and San Diego hasn't had a major earthquake in 300 or 400 years from what I've heard. We can have a big one anytime, but whole lives have been lived here without a major quake. We feel a lot of the ones in the LA area which seem to be more prone to them.

This is not the first earthquake in ten years. There was one last year on my birthday, August 9th. The 5.4, this year was not so bad. It just really shook a lot of people up because we are all expecting the "Big One," to hit any day. We never know when we feel the first jolt, if this will be it. I am kind of tired of California myself, but do not want to move to a state where it snows.

Hey Marcia, I live in CA, but I didn't feel this particular quake as I live 400 miles away from LA. I did feel the one in San Francisco back in '89, though I was 100 miles away from it, so it was mild where I was, but I still felt dizzy from it. I have also heard that the earthquakes in CA will get worse. Just like tornadoes will be getting worse in the southern states.

I left Ca quite a long time ago, and I remember one real bad one, and I would just assoon be able to take shelter from a tornado then deal with a quake, there is nowhere to take cover, oh they tell you in door jams, tell me how that is going to protect you when the whole house is being sucked into the ground, lol.... Oh well ppl there dont like tornado's either, but with then you can get in your storm shelter for safety.

There is really not much you can do, I asked my girl-friend, what did you do when the Earth quake was going on? she said she was in the bed. I may have experience an E.Q. at least one time in my life, in Ohio, about 15 yrss, ago, but it was fir like 5mins. I also hate Thunder and Lighting, now that really scares me.

I heard the same news you did. Well it has been 100 years since the big San Francisco earthquake. So I guess I would be on alert if I lived in California.
