Do you make homemade pizza? If so is there a fool proof recipe for the crust that you care to share? Do you use store bought marinara sauce? What are some of your favorite combined toppings?

I use to make homemade pizza. I didn't really use a recipe just put together a dough, took tomatoe sauce and added seasoning, and put on whatever everyone wanted. I did always add garlic to the top for flavor, my children love garlic.

I try to make a healthier whole grain crust (wheat or spelt) but I haven't come up with a fool proof one. I usually use canned tomatoes that I add seasonings to but occasionally buy the marinara sauce. I like lots of veggies on my pizza...onions, mushrooms, red peppers, green olives

When I make pizza I like to use fresh store bought dough, as making pizza can take a bit of time. I do use store bought sauce, and the toppings depend on my mood, as I like all diffrent kinds of toppings. I do however love mushrooms and hot sausage, riccotta cheese & green bell peppers on my pizza. Oooh and I love making Philly cheese Pizza!

I make what I call an upside pizza... where the toppings and sauce are on the bottom of the dish and I use canned buscuits on the top. Its good and its different, my husband likes it and he don't care if I ever make the regular pizza again.

Cool. How do you layer it and do you roll out the biscuits?

Its good...actually I use a pound of ground beef or sausage, brown it, drain, then I add italian style tomato sauce to the meat, I can't find it so I make it myself, then you can add a can of mushrooms, and olives, and let those heat through in the skillet. Then you take a baking dish, I use a 2 qt. one, and spread the meat mixture on the bottom, then add your cheese, I use mozzarella. Then I take the canned buscuits, usually theres 10 in one can, I just flatten them a little with my hand, and arrange them on top of the meat mixture and cheese. Then bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 17 mins. Its real easy and fast...it can easily feed up to 4 people depending on how hungry they are....lol.

I usually will make pizza dough in the bread machine. I use the recipe for Italian bread, but just make the dough. I do use store bought sauce and top it with lots of cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers. They are also great with banana peppers.
