Yeah,I have also heard a lot of couples here are planning to get married on 08/08/08 because they say it means infinity - the number 8 but for me it will still depend on the couple and how much love they have for each other that matters. Even if you weren't married in that date or the likes, (07/07/07, 09/09/09, 10/10/10,11/11/11, 12/12/12) if you will really keep your marriage intact no matter what, then that's it! you don't need those dates but, on the other hand, getting married in those dates is indeed memorable because those combination of numbers only happen once :)and it would be great if that would be the date of marriage,isn't it?

they say today is a lucky day(8-8-08).but I don't think so.hehe.Anyway,I can say I have a good day but I can't say that I'm lucky this day.hehe

I got married on 7-7-07 myself but it was not for the good luck thing as I do not believe in luck. But I got married on that day so that I could never forget my anniversary, thus no shoes to the head from Mrs. Mee. HAHAHA! 12-12-12 will be the last time for 100years to have an anniversary such as these so as these years go by (8-8-08/9-9-09/10-10-10/11-11-11/12-12-12) this will be the status quo. I am glad that I did not get married in the 1900 unless of course it was December 31st, 1999 as that would also be a memorable day. Have a great day!!!

Hi Cupid, I guess in many areas of the world 8 is classed as a lucky number so I guess couples would enjoy getting married on this date. I am supposed to be going on a night out but not well at the moment so don't know whether I will be now. If they are going on numbers though 08/08/2008 so in reality they should have all got married on 08/08/2006 really for it all to add to 8 but can see where they are all coming from on it. Ellie :D

I always thought 07/07/07 was lucky , and I remember reading that many people wanted to get married them . My little cousin was born on that date and I always thought that was pretty cool When I get married the number will have to jump out at me , has to draw me in You know my wedding date was suppose to be 06/2/07 ! Hi cupid, the pronunciation of 8 in my dialect is same to the meaning of “to get rich”, so people here are crazy about this number of 8. To them the more 8 they have the wealthier they are. Today is 8.8.2008. Wow! There are 4 8s shown on the calendar. So many people would like to marry in this day which they believe would bring fortune to them. The summer host of the Olympic summer games did notice this and selected this luck day to hold the grand opening ceremony at 8 pm this evening. I even read news saying that the actual time for the open ceremony will be at 8.08 pm. and yet to be proved tonight. posting and cheers.

Sorry to disappoint you and may be many others, but it was this date and this month in 1978, when all of sudden I lost my father who went to office in the morning and never came back home as he got heart attack on his way at the age of 53 only. So I don't like 08/08.......it scares me , it hurts me.........but I wish it may bring happiness for others........Have a nice day.

really a big special date for most people. after all, it happens just very rarely. one of my boyfriend's students will be celebrating her birthday on that day and she's really excited about it. i know a lot of people wanting to get married on this date since they say, it's a very lucky day for couples.
