Iv'e been hearing this many times. The two have their differences! oh c'mmon how can you diiferentiate this two in another way when in fact for me there is really none. People really use this lame excuses when they want to get out or want to escape something! White Lies and lies it still boils down to one! It is still LYING! Grrrr!

What makes the difference is that white lies aren't supposed to hurt anyone. For example, I've lied to my husband about how much money we had in the bank account. And because of this "lie" he was able to buy a motorcycle. But had he known I was putting money aside from the beginning we would have been using this money for other things instead. So as you can see, not all lies are bad.

Hmm.. for me there is a difference.. just like how lawyers lie, how senators lie and how sometimes our parents lie. Some lies needs to be done to see the truth and some were need to protect someone and the nasty lies that needs to protect and feed there greediness.

to me a lie is always a lie. but they say white lies means those lies which are not going to hurt anybody.the other lies can affect others, its purely my perception.

To me the difference between a white lie and a full fledged lie is what is behind it. A white lie is something you tell to keep someone from finding out something hurtful, or something that will make them upset. The other type is something you do on purpose; with full intention of causing hurt and anguish. Take this example. Let's say your boyfriend, girlfriend, fiancee, or whatever asks you to mail a letter for them on your way into work. You get to work and realize you forgot to mail the letter. When your significant other calls and asks if you dropped the letter in the mail you tell them yes, because you don't want to start an argument or have them get mad at you for forgetting as you plan to drop the letter off first thing on your drive home. A true, full fledged lie would be maybe taking in a movie or a dinner with someone of the opposite gender that you are attracted to and when your current significant other asks who you went with you tell them you went with your girlfriends from work. It's really not right to do either, but I do think one is SOMEWHAT better then the other, but not by much.

I think some people live for lying its easier than telling the truth. www.megastarmedia.com
