Large scale fishing in both the fresh and sea water bodies has led to massive depletion of fish stock-in West africa, there is general outcry from the fishing communties that European fishermen are straying into their seas and stealing their fish with deep sea trolleys-Do you sea a time all our water bodies will be empty of fish stocks?

I think it could very well come to that some day. They have alot of pochers and oil spills every year. the fish count goes down every year because of that. Alot of fish get eaten and alot of fish die from contamination also. I think anything is possible these days.

I dont think it will happen in our lifetime. However I am positive that if we keep on going the way we are, there will come atime when there will be no fish or any sea life for that matter. Now with information being so attainable, I see no reason for a person not to educate themselves on saving our planet. I go to the beach alot and I see people throwing trash and diapers in the sand. Little do they know when high tide comes that becomes part of our ocean. If everyone at the beach took time to make sure they cleaned up after just themselves it would be a great help in saving us from ourselves. I truly believe that there's seven degrees of separation in people but also in actions as well. With people everyone is supposed to be separated by a few but together with at least one similar person. Its the same with actions. Everything we do has an effect on something else. SO if we keep up the bad habits, we may have no fish in the sea. OUr bodies of water will become bleak, polluted and empty. If the oceans get out of wack, the earths gravity, the seasons, day and night will be effected. Not necessarily in that order but life as we know it will be finished. Once you totally deplete a species there's no turning back. Thats food for thought. Good discussion Academic! dl
