Well my apples are starting to take on a nice red coloring finally. They should be ready to pick about the end of September maybe earlier. These are just a couple that are getting the red tint on them. Just wanted to share my excitement was all.

I've eaten tons of tomatoes already.
I have 2 trees but only one bloosomed this year.
Ever eat crabapples?
They aren't bad at all.

I don't think that anything you have grown this year has not grown. The apples will be ready soon. You have your own produce section right in your back year. That is so cool when you can go in the yard and pic your own veggies instead of buying them for the store. You go with your bad self.

I love apples. I am thinking of getting a couple apple trees and orange trees for next year. Have any suggests on the kind I should get?

That is great to hear. We used to have an apple tree in our yard when I was growing up. Most of the apples stayed green all year until about the fall of the year. the bugs and wild animals had already taken their bites of them too LOL. I am glad that yours is doing well though.

So does it matter what kind of apples you have? You said yours will be ready to pick at the end of Sept. Our apples are still kinda small and green with some red on them. I'm not sure what kind they are, but I think they're the kind that you cook with, I can't remeber the name for it. I mean the tree is loaded, some of the branches are touching the ground because they are so heavy. Last year, it was like that but the apples didn't do too good, they were pretty, but almost all of them had worm holes in them. Our pear trees are doing good, alot of pears on them.

This tree is Haralred. A semi sweet/tart red apple used mostly for
baking but still great eaten plain. My other tree is a Honeycrisp.
Good deal on the pears. The apples will come along soon enough for you.
