How late do you often eat breakfast?

I love breakfast. But sometimes, like this morning, I am very late eating. I got up and got on the computer. Then I got a phone call. I just forgot I haven't eaten this morning. And, now I am very hungry. I don't eat a big meal, but have to have something to keep me going during the day. I will probably have a scrambled egg and cantaloupe for breakfast. But, at what time do you call it something else, perhaps brunch, instead of breakfast? What about you; do you eat early or late? It's almost 10AM here this morning!

The latest time I had my breakfast was at 1.30pm. It is actually more of a brunch than a breakfast. It usually happens when I don't need to work. I had to work 5 to 6 days a week so ocassionally, I would sleep in late so that I can recover from the long days of work. Besides that, I really don't feel like waking up early when there is nothing to do. Unfortunately, my ever increasing work load isn't going to leave me alone. Sometimes I had to work on sundays too, at home.

I work in the morning from 8am to 6pm in the evening but I wake up at 5am in the work to prepare for work and I leave home at 7. Its a long drive to work. At work, ocassionally I have short breaks in between the heavy work load. By the time I am home, I am already very tired. It is very tiring and I have to it 5 to 7 days a week depending on the work load. That is why I prefer to sleep in late when I do not need to work.

That would certainly be late for me. But I suppose, if your hours are different than just day hours at work, anytime you wake up is breakfast for you. Hadn't really thought about that. I know my husband used to have to get up at 3AM to be at work at 4AM when we were in Nashville. He would get up and cook breakfast for himself. There is no way I could have gotten up. But he was ready for dinner when he got home although it would be lunch time for me. So he usually ate 4 meals a day instead of 3. I hadn't ever though about that until just now! He gets up at 5AM and eats breakfast now before going to work. Even when he's not working, he's up early. It's just always been a thing with him - waking up early and getting up. I like to go to bed later and wake up later.

I finally ate at 10:30 this morning. But I have to have something besides something to drink. My Mother always gets up and drinks a pot of hot tea before she ever eats anything. I usually drink water with my breakfast.

I love breakfast too,I have early breakfast since I usually have early dinner so I feel hungry early.skipping breakfast is not good for health.H aving brunch without breakfast is also not good because you break more than ten hours fasting.as the saying goes' EAT BREAKFAST LIKE A KING,LUNCH LIKE A PRINCE AND DINNER LIKE A PAUPER.'

I usually have breakfast around 10 or 11. Some times earlier depending on if I decide to cook breakfast for the 2 grandkids. If I decide to cook for them then I will have it earlier. If I just fix breakfast for my self it can be leftovers that would be more of a lunch or supper type foods.

My 2 grandkids are adults and can fix their breakfast for themselves if they want to. But sometimes I like to make something extra nice for them. We all live together.

When my grandsons were here over the weekend, I fixed breakfast whenever the first one got up, somewhere between 8 and 9:30. They loved homemade waffles, so I would start the waffles and when they got almost done, we'd get the other one up. One of them is a much earlier riser. He gets up around 5:30 to get ready to go to school, but during the summer, they stay up later. So they get up later, but he is still the first to get up.

Well it normally depends on what time I wake up. Usually I'm up by 9 and get the coffee pot started and then fix some toast or something. But if I wake up later than that I normally just drink coffee until it is lunch time and eat something around 12 or 1.

I am still trying to get in the habit of eating breakfast. I will usually eat it within a half an hour of waking up, and it's nothing more than a bowl of cereal usually. I will have a glass of orange juice when I first wake up, and then after a smoke or 2 I'll get my cereal.

I have absolutely no energy in the morning to cook a meal. I am not a morning person and would much rather spend a few hours sitting here allowing myself to wake up before I get to doing anything around the house, lol.

I can't eat cold cereal for breakfast unless I'm on a trip. I rather have something hot with a piece of fruit. But my husband can eat cold cereal for breakfast anytime. It is a good habit to eat a good breakfast and cut back on the other meals.

I have to eat something for breakfast. But I sometimes find myself sitting here for hours playing around on the laptop, if I have nothing to do. Then I realize I haven't eaten. That's the days I try to eat lightly and then just eat dinner with my husband. That way, I've skipped one meal and it doesn't end up on my thighs.

Have you ever tried eating a light snack for breakfast? I think you would find that your day would go better. They say children that don't eat breakfast do not do as good at school. I would think it would be the same for adults on the job.

I usually take make breakfast in time on weekdays. It is on weekends specially on Sundays, that our breakfast gets delayed. We catch up with our sleep of entire week and gets up late on Sundays. Consequently, preparation of breakfast invariably get delayed. I know it is not good, breakfast and other meals should be consumed in time to remain fit and healthy but sometimes it happens, despite our best efforts.

It is just after 10am here. I am just now having my "breakfast". I am eating a piece of French bread with a little bit of butter on it and a glass of iced tea. I normally only call it breakfast if I am going to be eating breakfast foods. Otherwise I call it lunch.

I think any food around breakfast or whenever we get up is better than no food at all. A piece of bread and a glass of milk is fine with me. I couldn't drink ice tea when I first got up but I do drink water for breakfast.

Hello,Barb! For me,breakfast has no meaning as I never eat in the morning.Instead I drink two or three cups of green tea.but sometime if I felt the need of a breakfast I do drink a glass of fruits juice or vegetables soup in between 8 and 9 AM so that there will be a gap of about three and half hours between breakfast and lunch.beyond 10 AM I a never take anything except tea or coffee.thanx.

I am not really a breakfast person at all. I never eat anything until at least lunchtime. Mainly because when I get up in the morning I am not hungry and then I am always really busy until lunchtime anyway. It would be better for me if I could eat a breakfast really because then I would not get too hungry come lunch time.

I have to admit, I am one of those bad people who don't eat breakfast. I do eat an early lunch though, usually around 11:00. I just don't have time to eat breakfast and I really don't like most typical breakfast foods.

My husband is the same way. He says he wakes up early and cannot go back to sleep. So he gets up and fixes breakfast. And sometimes, when I get up later, he will have another cup of coffee and a piece of toast with me.
