Well for one thing, you certainly learn to treasure the time you DO spend together! It is certainly not easy to be far from your loved one and absence definitely does make the heart grow fonder. My wife and I have had to spend time apart a LOT in the past and it was never easy; but we are so grateful now for the time we do spend together and overall the experience has made our relationship stronger. It takes trust, committment and plenty of communication; which in turn is a positive influence on ANY relationship.
