Do you feel less free or more free then when you were a teenager? The reason i'm bringing this up is yesterday i got hit upon by a 18 yr old asking me out..calling me up just before I left my store..he came in earlier and like alot of people that come in that just want to talk to me..well my oldest grandaughter will be 18 next month and he maybe her friend, but still after i got over the shock..lol..I told him i don't do that anymore..now what THAT is i don't know..lol..but all Teenage Boys usually want something this old Grandma would feel a bit funny doing with an 18yr old..now if it was 10 or 15 yrs ago...mmmmmmmmm

Well, he tapped into a part of you that many of us leave by the wayside. I definitely don't feel as free as I used to. I often feel in bondage due to all the responsibility that I have around me. I'm aiming to get my groove back, though. Funny how you never miss a good thing until it's gone. There are some things from those younger years that we should all try to hold onto.

That was very interesting indeed, it raises a very intriguing question-you must still be looking extremly stunning inspite of your being a grandma-for anybody as young as an 18 year old not to see age in you simply means you have the kind of beauty and appearnce that defies age! It was a very ineteresting experience I must say Rosekitty!

hi rose, I am nearly your age too and I get that occassionally. I had one young man (not 18) ask if he could stop by for coffee. I work in the public and have been in the same place for years. i've known this kid forever. you can not imagine how shocked i was when he started coming on to me. I feel the same as you. I'll go and usually do go out with guys a bit younger like 10 or 15 years but even 15 is kind of pushing it for me. I dress to cover the changes in my body which isn't bad but certainly not what it used to be. I don't normally even really think about my age but being with someone that young, i'm sure it is all I would think about. I can't really see your current pic on my screen but i'm sure you are still very beautiful to attract someone that young. good for you. i'm sure that even tho you turned him down, it made your day. you should be very proud.

I feel a lot more free now. I'm older and wiser and have a lot of common mistakes-and some not so common ones-behind me. I'm independent and have become secure with myself and know that I can manage and cope with anything that comes my way. So I feel that I am free to enjoy life more. Now I just need to GET a life!

Pointers: Bird dogs? If you like. I'll see if I can find a couple of puppies somewhere. LOL. You don't need pointers. But I'm glad you said no - I assume that you did. More room for me. LOL.

my parents ..especially my mom was so strict on my teen-age life..that sometimes i cant breathe or the likes..i cant even go out on group date ..it was so frustrating..maybe thats one causes that i got married early..to escape the environment i hated..but now i know the reasons why she acted that way on me..neverthless its still not proper to treat me that way whatever her reasons would be..

Hey, you've still got it! I felt less free when I was a teenager. I felt trapped and like I was in some kind of prison. I have more problems now, but I feel better in general about life. I would not want to go back to being a teenager for anything. But I do feel weird when an 18 year old calls me ma'am.

Good for you! Girl's gotta have some fun once in awhile, even if it's just flirting.

ROFL..................................still ROFL! Must have made your day anyway though! I raised my sons totally alone for years. I used to get hit on by my oldest sons friends. Like you, it kinda made me feel weird. But flattered too! Finally when I was in my late forties, and the boys were old enough, they decided it was time I started dating. They worried I'd get 'too' old and end up alone after they moved out! LOL So I started paying attention to the men I came in contact with during the course of my job. And just before I moved out West, I had a wonderful, torrid and totally WRONG affair with a gorgeous hunk of manhood 20 years my junior. It lasted for a whole summer and I will treasure the memories of it forever. What I won't treasure is the ending, which was NOT fun. But that's another story. Rock on you sexy grandma you! .............................still ROFL!!!!

Well, was he good looking? Lol. What is that saying, you are only as old as you feel? Well, I don't feel like a teenager, lol. I do understand what you are saying. I actually see a lot of young, young men with older woman. It doesn't bother me but lets be honest, we are all more used to seeing older men with young women. Before getting married, I dated some older and some younger. The young men were eager to please, kinda like puppies. The older ones were set in their ways and you had to conform. Somehow I ended up marrying one my age??? But I'm glad I found someone, despite age, that was willing to grow with me. No Rose, I don't think I am interested in teenage boys. Hugs, Carolyn

I feel more free in some ways, less free in others. My problem is that I get hit on by younger people but they think I'm their age. My (step) daughter is almost 19, and I am almost 34. I swear I do not look 19! You must be single? LOL! If I were single it would be funny, but I'm married.

That has also happened to me. My son is 18. And his friends ask me out, or make passes at me. I don't act on it, but yea, It does make you fill pretty good doesn't it.?........;-)

Although I completely understand your feelings regarding going out with someone that much younger than yourself, you should feel VERY complimented at the same time. You must be quite good looking for him to consider flirting with you, let alone venturing to ask you out. Good for you. I hope it made your day. I know it would mine.

Hi Rosekitty yes maybe 10-15 years younger and could have a real laugh eh but like you this lad would have been younger than my eldest daughter so a definate NO on this one but you must have felt very flattered, I know I would have been. Ellie :D
