I know I can. Can you? Hint: It is no science fiction. Still wondering how? Well, it's simple, work for it. I mean the best thing you can do the influence future changes is to work in the present to make a better outcome for the rest of the world. We always fail to realize this very little fact. For instance, to make the world a lot healthier, greener and less polluted place for the next generations, if we stop abusing the use of fossil fuel, then one way or the other, aren't we changing the future? Let's think of all the ways we can amend and implement few changes in the present to have a better and bright future tomorrow.

I agree with every word of yours. But you must also realize that our Lord has given us the free will to decide. He, the Lord of all the universe, has told us what is good and evil, what is right and wrong. So really it is up to us to select what is good and beneficial for us. Therefore, if we truly work our way to make our present life much better, progressive and improved in ways that would not only prove helpful to us but also to our fellow human beings, then truly God would also help us out in our good intentions and indirectly, we would nonetheless be working for a brighter and peaceful future. Thank you for your kind words.

that is exactly true medicguy! they say our future lies on destiny and that destiny is a matter chance not a matter of choice but i strongly disagree to the fact that it is by chance that makes us go to wherever our fate is. i believe the other way around, destiny is a matter of choice and not a matter of chance and our future doen not lay alone from fortunes and luck but from hardwork we invest, the sacrifice we exert to make all our dreams and aspirations come true. the future lies in our hands! have a nice day ahead!

We all make our own destiny. I truly enjoy your feedback. If we just rely on fate, then we wouldn't really care for having dreams, goals and aspirations in our life, would we then? That's the beauty of working for the present and to anticipate what will happen in the future. Most people just stress on past and are scared for what future might hold for them. I say forget both of them, simply work for the present, the future itself would turn out satisfactory. Thank you for your wonderful insight.

I agree with you. It not only holds true with the future of the environment, but as well with a person's individual life and future. I saw my future as uneducated, underpayed, no friends, and bored out of my mind with my job. That was the present and I knew if I didn't do something that would indeed be my future. I changed many things in the past 6 months that I hope will end up making a better life for me, which I think it will. I got a divorce, which was very good for me, I have quit my boring job and got a new one that I enjoy so much more. And at this new job I have met many new people and friends. And for the uneducated part, I will be starting college in a week that will guarantee a real chance for me in the future...I will be going for computer science. Something I had always wanted to do, just never made any changes or steps toward my dream mainly because I was scared of failure. But after awhile I have become more scared of not doing anything rather than being scared of failure.

Glad to hear that. All that is required from yourself is a little initiative to positivity, the success and the great exhilarating feeling would follow it. Because how else you could find out that such things won't lead to beneficial results if you don't try them at the first place? I am also please to know that things are working out for you and please do not stop at this level. Keep working your way up the ladder. Don't take sky as your limit (throw the old sayings away) , in fact go beyond the sky and up to the stars. The possibilities are endless. If you keep thinking negative, then you'll never get out from the abyss of pessimism. Hope your degree for computer science works out well and best of luck for your future.

I am applauding you big time! This is so true! And it seems like society today is all about someone doing it for you, or someone else will take care of that! We need to get back to taking responsibility - each and every one of us - and get the job done!

Thank you for your very touching words my friend. I say you make your own future. We have the necessary tools and the blueprint that is our brain. If you are scare to initiate something abruptly, start with baby steps, work up that ladder of success and eventually, your objectives would soon be reaching their completion. May we all have such possibilities coming to realism.

yes and no. in some aspect u can change or control ur future by the chooses tht u make very day. no ones future is really planned out, so tht mean tht u have no future other then the one tht u make for urself. if u took the time to think every thing out and view any possiblitys tht can from ur choose u would be amazed how one thing could change u future.

We both have the same point of view. Even a slightest of change in ourselves and/or in our environment can cause massive change and subsequently, influence our outcome in ways unimaginable. I also agree that we cannot truly understand our fate and destiny and hence, cannot really expect what the future might hold for us. However, that doesn't mean that we should succumb into doing things that are detrimental at personal, societal and global levels. We should work for our present, our peers, friends, families, our neighbors and our fellow citizens of the world. A change a day for a noble and virtuous cause is all we need to have a brighter, safer and much enjoyable future. Thank you for sharing your side of the argument.

I believe you can change the future ... we do it every day in every single thing we do. Can we CONTROL the future? I doubt it. All we can do is be educated and act accordingly.

Yes changing future, we are doing it every single day but most of us are ignorant of the ways we are altering it. To control it? We don't have full control of how things would turn out today, let alone for the future. So I have to agree with you that handling the future is something beyond the reach of us and that is the limitation when it comes to our ingenuity. To overcome such barriers, we should all strive to do good deeds as to have a bright future for the upcoming generations and beyond. Thanks for dropping by.

We can plan for our future and even we can predict that our future can be like this or like that but 100% we cant achieve it, even if we work hard sometimes somewhere ther would slight changes which even changes our whole plan and certainly our future.

Well that's the beauty of life, isn't it. Otherwise if you can exactly pinpoint your predictions and if all of those predictions come to action, then what a boring lifestyle and way of living that would be. See it is good to know that yes you can do things and take actions that would be helping you to make a better future for yourself but also I have to agree with you that it won't lead to a hundred percent outcome the way you would have originally expected it to be. However, that doesn't mean that you should leave the things the way they are, but rather it should act as a motivating factor for yourself to work even harder to change the future in ways that would be according to your liking and preference. We can always work hard but it is God at the end who would shape the things to come. God bless!

You are so right, medicguy! Each of us is obligated to be the best we can be. Theat includes helping others, including in political and social ways. We can never stop giving it our best efforts and demanding the same of others! Whole societies change oone person at a time.

Exactly, the change start from your side first. No matter what the scale of that change is, even a littlest of effort and enthusiastic approach towards progress from your side would definitely add to a favoring reform. That change could be in yourself, maybe you decide one day you would stop being irritated over small matters, and start treating everyone with more respect, maybe you decide that you'll save 25 percent of your annual income for the poor and needy. The change or influence can be at a political and social matter nonetheless. If all of us decide to change one bad thing in us to something noble and respectable, believe me, that would yield to such a better and peaceful global society in the future. Thanks for your input.

to be more aware of one's surroundings and to actually care what is happening around you and react with positive actions to improve situations for a harmonious and peaceful balance of life with earth, life, humans, animals, and society in general.

I thank you for having the same frame of mind as I do. We can always influence our future. We have been given the opportunity to do so, it is as simple as to just utilize it to reap the benefits out of it. A simple example would be that of weight loss program, if you start exercising today, you would definitely be seeing the outcome of your effort in future, won't you?

I believe you are right. Our future lies in our own hands. If we want to change our life and make it better,we must know that we have to work hard to achieve our goals. So if you really want something, don't just be dreaming,go for it.

Thank you for sharing my point of view. Sooner you realize that it is you that have to start making changes to see the future the way you want it to be, the better will be your way of thinking and attitude towards yourself and others. And I totally agree with you, just dreaming won't accomplish your objectives and goals in life. Do dream, it is one of the most beautiful thing one can do, but also at the same time, work for your dreams so that they can be achievable. Have a nice day!
