Hi Cupid,
Being a water baby and all I would love to say yes I do believe in them . I have always loved mermaids . I remember playing with a small mermaid doll in my bath tub with a sea horse when I was a small kid . Also, when I was little I thought they might be real after I saw the movie splash . I sometimes will say to people I may have been one in another life to be silly . I just love the sea life and think if they were real I would be very happy to be one . The kind that can come out of water and be on land too would be even better . They are just a lovely magical creature

Hi Water baby
u r right, movies, makes them more attractive. so far its myth just like greek god, which have half body of male ansd rest is of Horse ( i forgot his name, Apolo, not sure)
so Mermaid is ur Fascination since childhood, Kool, and u r right marine life under wateris very good, and i am sure Cartoon "Nimo" make it more fascinating. look at National Geographical and Discovery and u feel more attracted towards Marine life and want to go for Diving.

Oh cupid I am sure if they were real they would be lovely and if I were one I would have a great big tail that is an array of blues , and it would shimmer ;)

but i am sure u must not have gone to deserted beach
as i am sure they might be enjoying in deserted beach at nites
i think they are shy and dont want to come to public
and might be living deep near small coral islands

Yes I do live near the sea and my office too is near the sea though I cannot see the view from my window. As kids we have spent the night at the beach and the peace and calm there has been a wonderful experience. If the mermaids to exist they they must have felt too shy to come when we were there.

Mermaids are most intriguing to me and I have fantasized on being on since when a child myself. I think, it has to do with the beautiful fairy tales on which I was fed heavily. I remember playing a part of a mermaid in school. Recently I saw one movie where the heroine turns into a beautiful mermaid!!

thanks for response, yeah u r right, this concept of mermaids, fairies is always inspiring, i have seen few animation, few stories about them, and i recall one English Film about Mermaid ( both males and females) though most common pics are of Female Mermaids, but that pic was about couples

No dear. It was enacted on the stage. We had a huge auditorium with a befitting stage where I played it! Those were the days...

I stay in a land locked city and I do not have any beach near our city so I have not come acroos any MERMAID, even if I visited any city with beaches. What about you? How does it looks?

Please do share your experiences with me. However, I remember having seen a Mermaid quite a long time ago in an English movie, which was quite fasinating to me.

hi,cupid,do you really believe there is mermaid living in the world? i think they are just
described by ancient people,maybe in fact it doesn't exsit.when i was very little,i heard of
the fairy tale about mermaid.it is so beautiful,somewhat similar to human in face and somewhat
similar to fish in tale.people now like to describe beautiful girls as mermaid,have you ever
heard?of course,i have never seen it ,and if one day i see the true mermaid,i may be scared.

Since I myslef hasn't seen one so I presume they are just mythical figures of the past and as for their existence no one has proven it yet they really exist. They only exist in so many stories of the past and some isolated ones that claimed they have seen one. But, I would like to see a real lived one or any evidence that will prove its existence before I would become a true believer of it.
