balot

I was born and grew up in the philippines. most of my friends there eat balot. they say that it gives them more energy especially during stressful days. but i just can't stand it. i don't even dare to open and smell it. but i have nothing against those who love it. just that for me, it's not my taste.

That is my favourite dishes although since that food is notoriously high in cholesterol I can only eat once in a while and is not recommended to be eaten like its a staple food at all. But I like to eat it when given the chance.

Someone mentioned this in another discussion last night and I looked it up. I don't think I could ever eat it.

yes, i eat that in my childhood days and now it seems like i'm thinking twice in eating it already (after years of not eating it).

Hello! I'm pinay also... anyways, before when I was still young I can eat balot. I didn't even know that there's a chick inside the shell. I can't imagine that before, anyways, maybe I was really hooked eating that kind of exotic food.
