Please leave a comment so that I may know how many of myLot users are in this profession. I would love to know such individuals. After all, myLot is a social-networking community and one of the purpose of this environment is to meet like-minded individuals here. As a curiosity, I would like to see others with the same background of education as mine and it would definitely be fun if we can share our opinions with one another. Please leave a comment for me to find out if you are in a med school/profession or not? Thanks!

After becoming an executive chef and restaurant owner I have now decided to go back to school to become an Archeologist with a degree in both Radiography and Forensics. I am about to turn 31 but, I know it's never to late to start a new life.

I wish you best of luck for your dreams to come true. Truly, it is never late to follow something you have wished for but didn't actually get around to accomplishing it. You are a determined person, being a chef and that too an owner of a restaurant is very impressing indeed. Some people would just be satisfied with such achievements. Age shouldn't be a factor, it is your intentions that count at the end. Have a wonderful day and may your dreams of becoming a doctor come true!

With hard work, dedication and genuine interest, everything is possible. Someone told me that we are all 'impossible' that is if you analyze it closely, you will get I M Possible ;) I wish you all the best for your career choices and hope you get what you are working for and I have no doubts that you wouldn't since you have got this far, I am sure you can go a couple of steps more to advancement. Good day friend!

Yes, I am a medical student currently and would God-willingly become a doctor in the next two coming years :D. It is a very demanding field but the feeling you get by helping others is unexplainable and very noble, if I may add. Biotechnology sounds interesting too and research makes up half of the medicine we practice today. To help your fellow humans, one can do it first hand like doctors and one can look at a bigger picture behind closed laboratories doors and come up with revolutionizing medicine/cure that can prevent the disease from happening at first place. Therefore, I think any profession in the field of medicine is quite philanthropic and full with devotion and caring-love. Thanks for showing interest in this discussion. May you find easy to make a career decision that you would immensely enjoy in future. Take care!

Until then, make sure you do very well in your pre-medical studies. It is a field of hardships but then one feels quite elated and happy knowing that you are helping people to get rid of their sufferings.
