I no longer think of myself as tall at 5' 11". This lady, Sandy Allen of Shelbyville, Indiana, was 7' 7" tall. She only weighed 6.5 lbs when she was born which is average. But she began to go abnormally almost immediately. "Her height was due to a tumor in her pituitary gland that caused it to release growth hormones uncontrollably, according to the world record book. At the age of 22, she underwent surgery to correct the condition. " http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,402741,00.html She died this morning in a nursing home in Shelbyville, IN at the age of 53.

7' 7"! Wow! That is amazing! I wonder what her life must have been like living like that!

Don't you know she felt out of place. I know I would have. I actually feel funny around really short people myself. But I got over being shy. I was always taught to stand up straight and be proud of my height, and I have been. My Mother is much shorter than me.

Yes, that is very young to die. But she had some serious health issues, I think, including diabetes.

Wow, she sure is tall. It must be difficult to make any friends being so tall.
