I was reading about some strange laws in the United States. I want to know what is some of the strangest laws you have heard about? I will share a few that I have heard about with you. Just to get you all started. 1. You can not plow a cotton field with an elephant in North Carolina. 2. In Lehigh, Nebraska it's against the law to sell donut holes. 3.Lawn darts is illegal in Canada. 4. In the state of Queensland, Australia, it is still constutional law that all pubs (hotel/bar) must have a railing outside for patrons to tie up their horse. 5. Chewing gum is outlawed in Singapore because it is a means of "tainting an environment free of dirt". 6. In Breton, Alabama there is a law on the town's books against riding down the street in a motorboat.

That law about the elephant? It's so sad we had to take cedar back to the zoo... 
In NC:
If a man and a woman who aren't married go to a hotel/motel and register themselves as married then, according to state law, they are legally married.
In North Carolina it's illegal to dig ginseng on other people's property between the months of April and September, according to an 1866 law.

Well at least you can go visit him. Also in North Carolina it is against the to sing off key. Here is another crazy one for you. It is illegal to have s.x in a courtyard. Also oral s.x is considered a crime against nature. Happy MyLotting!!

In Kansas it is illegal to shoot rabbits from a motorboat. How many rabbits are we going to see in the middle of the river. Also in Indiana it is illegal for a alcholic beverage store to sell soft drinks. They can not sell milk either. Happy MyLotting!! keep up the post. Have a Great Day!

Well, I don't know about Florida - I haven't lived here long enough to hear about the crazy stuff. I'm from Indiana, and the weirdest law there that I've heard of is that if a grown man is driving a car with an underage female passenger who is not wearing shoes and socks, he can be arrested for statutory rape.
That's insane, if you ask me - my dad could have been arrested about a million times!

My dad would have been too. Because in the summer I would always kick off my flip flops in the car. Matter of fact all four of my girls do it when they are in the truck with their father. also here is you a Florida law. Yes it is a law in Florida, but it is going to make you laugh. Having s.xual relations with a porcupine is illegal. Also it is illegal to skateboard with out a license. Happy Mylotting!!

Welcome to India! Home to crazy politicians and even crazier ideas! The latest law here in my city (Bangalore) is that pubs, hotels must must stop their activities by 11.30pm... That means you cant go out for a drink after 11.30pm no dancing, nothing... This also includes a ban on live shows in any form after this time. Its a crazy idea that totally shuts down night life here. This law means that Bangalore (The Rock Capital Of India) cant host any concerts anymore. There are a lot protests going on here; god knows whats going to happen. Well for the rest of you... ROCK ON! \m/

This city has lost its mind. No night life that is crazy. I think some one fell down and hit their head a little to hard. I bet the protesting will go on for along time, or until they get rid of this law. HappyMylotting.. Keep up the Posting!!

lol the strangest law is that made in turkey is in one city of turkey which is denizli in denizli last year rice prices gone up really too much there is government selling places and only they were selling rice cheap so people were buying from them however there was a limit for every person that every person can only buy up to 5 packages, because of that people started to buy rice by sending their all kids to there so they put a law that anybody who is under 18 can not buy rice in that city lol that was really funny

In Turkey, there is a law that states: That a women must get her husbands permission to get a job. Also they must live where ever the husband wishes to reside. If a married couple decides to get a divorce she has to forfeit all joinly held assets. These would not hold up in Alabama court. They always split everything. Happy MyLotting!!

Here in Oklahoma I think the oddest one is...All whale hunting is prohibited. Because everyone knows there's just so many endangered whales swimming through Oklahoma.

Oklahoma has some crazy laws. There is one that states that a women may not do her own hair unless she is licensed by the state. Also there is one that states the dogs must have a permit signed by the mayor in order to congregate in groups of three or more on private property. ( like the mayor is really going to sign this for a dog). Happy MyLotting!!

I dont remember any craziest law in my country because im ignorant of such things.. but i have read a discussion here in mylot that dogs of high is not allowed in some country if they have it then thry got to pay some tax for it seems..espcially particular in a city it is not allowed..
And long back i heard somewhere in a country the bike is all fully banned and bi-cycles were only allowed!!!
