I have one on 54 litres with five zebra danios, five cardinal tetras, five guppies, three kuhli eels and one ancistrus. I also have two appplesnails which is great agaist algaes. Im thinking of getting five or ten red cherry shrimps and then take away either the eels or cardinal tetras, just so it dont get overpopulated. So, what fishes do you have? And how big is your tank?

Gold fishes are really nice. But I dont like when they are beeing in a round bowl. Its not good for them. First of all when they move, the vibrations will bounce into the glas and back into the fish. Secondly, gold fishes is a very dirty fish and the water in a small bowl will get dirty real fast. Even if you have a very good pump and filter system (which you probably dont have couse that dosnt look nice in a bowl) you have to change the water each day and thats is not even enough plus its not good to change water so often. There is also alot of other reasons why you should keep fishes (not just gold fishes) in a round bowl. Everybody can keep fishes, all you have to have is time and interest for it :)

Right now, only have Catfish, but will have more this weekend. I sell fish lots of them. This is the busy season, so the pet fish are the only year round fish now.

I have been raising tropical fishes for over 55 years. Right now I only have 11 aquariums set up and running. These include one 55 gallon, one 50 gallon, one 29 gallon, for 20 gallon, three 10 gallon and one 2 & 1/2 gallon tank. I raise several different kinds of fresh water tropical fishes including angelfish and a few other kinds of cichlids. I am trying to get someone to help me move a 75 and a 40 gallon aquarium into my work room. I did have plans of building a fish room with about 100 aquariums in it but people kept putting things in the area that I had cleaned out and not there is no place to put these items so I will just have to work with the tanks that I can get upstairs. If the floors were sturdy enough I would set up the 150 gallon tank that I have but I am afraid that the floors would give away and it would go crashing through the floor. If I can find away to get more tanks in the house I will find them and fill those spaces with aquariums. I breed angelfish, Geophagus iporangensis, and have festivums that are pairing off. I hope to get those other tanks up and running so that i will have more room to raise the babies.

I have a ten gallon tank up now, and am soon going to be putting up my 37 1/2 gallon tank. The fish that I have now are: three goldfish ( that's what got me started again, lol, they came from a carnival), three headlight/taillight tetras, one pleco ( sucker fish), a pair of bright orange swordtails, and two clown loaches. When I get my bigger tank set up and established, I will take the tropicals and put them there and keep the ten gallon one just for goldfish. It sounds like you have a great tank going on there, keep up the good work.
