These are the days of water purifiers, UV filters, bottled mineral water. But I still I boil water and then filter it using Alum. I then collect the clear water in bottles for drinking. I somehow don't feel satisfied till I have boiled my water. Do you find my habit strange as many of my friends do and tell me to go for a UV filter and spare my self of this tedious process.

I've never had to boil water at my home, we have a nice fresh well that comes from our spring water on the mountain behind my house. We also have a filter just in case, but this is the best water I have ever had in my life, better than bottled water I must say! The only time we have had to boil water was for bathing when our water heater broke down years ago for like a week haha, but if I lived somewhere else that didn't get this good water I would perhaps boil it just to be safe. If you are comfortable doing what you are doing and it makes you feel better about the water you drink, then don't stop boiling it, it can't be much trouble when you are so used to doing it now. Happy mylotting!

I know a few people who wouldnt drink a glass of tap water, but here in the UK we are pretty lucky with our water,it is purified to a high standard, and on the radio the other day a spokesperson for the water board was telling us that the tap water in the UK is as purified ,if not more so than bottled water. But we all develop our own ways of doing things and thats often the way that we prefer things to be done.

No,your habit is not strange because i have the same habit as you.I still boil water to drink. In nowadays, many people like to bring mineral waters from market to drink. This is only just wasting our money. The water that we boil our self is more safer and healthier than the water we buy outside.

Boiling is a very good process of cleaning all the germs, bacteria and virus in the water. The water becomes safe for health when we drink it.We boil the water here and drink when there's a flood during the rainy season.

actually we don't boil water in our home we have an R.O treatment plant installed at our home actually which is too good it just need a small investment and we can save our money getting tonns of water cans anymore.anyways boiling is also very good habit but since the gas cylinders prices are going too high we felt this method much economical.

Doesn't RO treatment destroy the minerals in water.
