Which is the best interest to start a discussion?

Hi friends,
Which do you think is the best interest to start a discussion in? In my experience, i think 'MYLOT' or 'LIFE' has given me many more responses than in others. Have you felt something like that? Which has been the best interest for you in terms of the replies you get?
Does it matter really the interest that you put your discussion in or i it the quality of the discussion that gets you more replies??

best interest in terms of replies I get? I would have to say mylot. That's my observation, but honestly, it really doesn't matter to me that much. Lol. As long as I'm enjoying in whatever discussions I'm engaging, I am actually fine with it.

Hmm, yes make extra money also seems to be a really active one. But one thing is that once i post something i feel worthwhile discussing and dont get a reply, i do feel bad. That's i think of interests where people do tend to respond.

The key to getting responses to your discussions is to have lots of friends, from all over the world, so that there is someone awake to see your discussion. Also, people like me respond from their inbox, and if you have a lot of friends who do that you will seldom, or never have a discussion with no response at all. MyLot counts and pays your discussion once you have one response, which validates it and makes it a discussion.

I do try to start my discussions in my own interests, because that allows them to be indexed for search purposes, but I do not think it affects the number of replies I get. It is the quality of the discussion, the interest level it piques that gets people to join. I honestly am happy with around twenty responses, as I can reply to them and it is easier to resolve the discussion. I have one still going that has around eighty responses. It will be very hard to choose the best one. I think that was started in life, but it might have been questions and answers.

It's always difficult for me to find the interest that suits my discussion and usually does end up in the life one. No, it doesn't matter what interest you put discussions in as long as they are good discussions.

But i do think that some people (including me) check out only a few interests. I am unsure of that though.

Hi there sreekumarn86!
I start discussions under different areas of interest. However, the most common ones (for me) are LIFE, PEOPLE, ME, MYLOT and EMPLOYEE. I think that all most areas of interests here at myLot are really those that are very interesting. In terms of replies, I believe it has been those that I have posted under LIFE that really generated more responses. I do not think that it is about what specific interest that would generate the most responses. I believe that is is more about the discussion itself.

Thanks for that info friend. But something that i was talking, say something posted in LIFE do tend to fetch you more replies. And i think it can be primarily because more people visit that?

It depends on what the subject is about. I wouldn't want to put a discussion that doesn't fit the topic in that topic but rather one that it does fit into. Such as if I start a discussion about my mother, I'd put it under my mom or if it's about my car then I'd put it under a title about my car or cars.

yeah definitely that's true. What i intended was like if you have noticed anything different while postin in a particular interest. Say one of them consistantly gives you more responses than the other. I do agree that it does depend on the quality of the post, but can be make something out of it. I supposed yes, life gives more responses and for the least I think it is fashion that gets the lowest rating.
