Shocking but true! - Amazed at discussions....

I find it amazing when I read a discussion that I personally feel is a bit shocking and it gets responses that make it seem like it's no big deal. Usually I will read all of the responses before making mine (if I even do make one) and have noticed that it's usually friends of the discussion starter who say the right thing and people who just don't want to make waves or get on the bad side of the person. Do you read responses to shocking discussions? Do you reply to those discussions no matter what you have to say? Do you care how the person who wrote it will feel if you respond in a negative manner?

I do read the whole discussion. If its a normal thing to discuss about I can answer it myself and so I won't read the response. If its so personnel and if the starter is really feeling so bad, then I will read some responses. Thats because I don't want to hurt them more by misunderstanding their topic. I will make sure if I think in the right way and then will post my comments about it.

Look at my star, I WISH I could have that much control as to just pass it up and not cause waves, LOL. Yes I do read the replies and sometimes it's just goofy how people will agree with anything the author said in order to stay in good with them or get that best response. I can't sell my self that cheap, a penny isn't enough for me to go backwards on my own standards and opinions, you know? I always keep in mind the author's feelings, but if they have written something so outrageous, then well I feel they opened them selves up for what ever kind of response and shouldn't be shocked by my honesty. And that's what I reply with, honesty. I won't attack them and call them names, but I sure as heck will give my true blue feelings on the matter.

Yes of course since my attention is caught so i go out of my way to find out what people have to say about it.When I respond to a discussion, i respond to say what I think about it and not just to please the one who posted the discussion. otherwise, there is no point in responding if you will not contribute an idea instead of just going along with what is posted even if you don't agree. But of course there are some discussions which i don't respond to after reading the responses because I don't think it would be in good taste to do so.
