I wish they would be able to hold their own in Iraq, but the outcome on that does not look good. I was hopefull in the beginning of the war (that we would be able to help them attain peace and law), but now I really wonder if they will ever be able to enjoy peace in their country again. It seems like our guys will always be over there forever.

It's been like that since the late 1970s, I doubt they'll ever have the kind of peace we would hope for ..... come to think of it, the US has been in one kind or another conflict since WWI

I doubt there will ever be peace in the way that we imagine it, but I think things will greatly improve over how they were. That country is so riddled with people who have such strong but slightly different beliefs I doubt there will ever be peace.

Both Iraq and Iran have been involved in one kind of conflict or another since the late 1970s that I know of.

You know while we are on the subject, there are so many people that are mad at Bush because our troops are still there but afer 9/11 everything changed. If we just stoped and pulled out imagine what would happen. We would be so vernable to attacks from everwhere. This war has to go on until we distroy all that threatens us so, if there is any peace it won't be in the near future. What do you think?

I agree 100% with you..I am sure with every war we entered into ..World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, etc there were those who criticized..People like freedom but don't like what is necessary to maintain this freedom+

lol if there is peace in the usa, then u can say there already is and was peace in iraq:) But if peace in iraq means soldiers returning back or sumthin well it will take sometime ......cos we have erred and now it becomes mandatory that we try and justify our attacks:) by staying there and get democratic govt in place etc etc .............while we get oil cheaper ........considerin the iraqi dinar went from 3$ to being equal to 1/1500 th of a $:) Well if you want world peace ..........stop being patriotic ....dont have nations etc:) and hats almost impossible so we myt never have world peace:) till then we can only have world peace songs:))

I see..so you are saying that we were wrong to try to help out the Iraqi people..There was initially much jubilation when we arrived there and the Iraqis said they were happy about the change..so now we were wrong...?hmm+

Iraq and Iran have been involved in conflicts of one kind or another since the late 1970s and still are. I doubt that will ever change.
