We oftentimes here people saying : "Don't judge a book by its cover," or " Beauty is only skin deep. But experience demonstrated to me it's otherwise; People are judged by their outward appearances. When applying for a job- the prettier girls get the paycheck; men - almost always choose the pretty and beautiful ones, over the plain and ugly, and many more. What about you? Did you ever really apply this adage?

it is always better to judge a person from his inner character than his outer appearences. i know that its difficult to do that but then to its good n safe to judge from his or her inner beauty. like u can just think it over if u r getting married to a person who is handsome enough n he always hates u , dont like or love u, dont behave properly with u , contains bad habbits, do u think that u will be happy with him ? no never a girl will like that kind of a husband or a person everytime she wants some person who loves her care for her. if u have a husband who is not so handsome but loves u , cre for u, does everything for ur happiness, dont u think this type of person is much more better than the above first mentioned person. n hence i always judge a person from his inner beauty but not his outer beauty. one thing i can tell u is while opting a life partner also god has given us an oppurtunity to select whom u like so i think u can use it n opt for the best. i also know that pairs r made in heaven but we never know whom we get but while selecting someone we can be carefull. might be the people in offices do that but it is not so everywhere as they ask for quality of a person n not the looks. most of them get their jobs due to t

i dont know how it discontinued but i want to still mention few points. most of them get their jobs based on their performences n their capabilities n if they r beautiful its a good plus point only for the person but not for the employers.

well well well..i think a lot of people go for the 'in' thing, if you know what i mean.. but i dont really believe that everybody's like that.. i just thought of a situation..:) when you ride the jeep or any public transportation, will you sit beside a "goon-looking" man?? when you're walking at night, will you get near a dirty beggar?? im guessing, you'd be one of 'them' who judge by appearance.. i mean, my point is there's nothing wrong about judging appearances..its more like having preferences.. their point of view will eventually change when they get to know the person anyway.. what do you think?? *i hate judge mental people too..im really not on their side..but let's keep an open mind on this..* enJOY..:)

I would hope that I don't. I wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to meet a new friend or someone that I could really have a good conversation with! I do think it happens alot though and when I was younger I probably participated in it too....but now that I am older I always try to remember that some people are just diamonds in the rough!

I never choose to talk to a person just because she or he is beautiful. External beauty is nothing . The inner personality is more important. I never shun away from someone who is not very good looking. I only try to understand the persons heart and then become friends with them. When a persons inner personality is good then it reflects on his looks also...

I judge people on the first day itself. Its not by mere looks, but the way they talk and behave. Its impossible not to come to some sort of judgement

It is hard not to judge by appearances, because as we know, the first impression is the most important. What is the first thing you'll ever notice about someone? How they look of course! That is almost always the first basis we have to gauge what someone is like or really judge them, and most people do. I'll admit that I do it, and I'm not really ashamed by it. I won't let it get in the way too much of how I react to them after, but it happens. I'm one of those who will make a quick judgment, but it hasn't prevented me from befriending "plain janes."
