As soon as I heard of his plan to "text" his message as to who he was going to choose as his running mate I knew it was a bad idea and very childish if you ask me!
CHESAPEAKE, Va. – By the time Barack Obama is ready to announce his vice presidential pick, will anyone believe him?
In recent days, as speculation and anticipation has mounted, so too have phony text messages declaring Obama’s supposed running mate – from Evan Bayh and Hillary Rodham Clinton to Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps.
It’s a cruel twist in a prolonged game of guessing that has put political junkies and Democratic supporters on edge since the campaign announced last week that it would disclose Obama’s choice through text messaging, which is expected to happen by Saturday.

Did you think this was a bad idea too? Didn't you see this coming????

Sounds unprofessional and very childish to me - so if you don't get text message guess you don't get to know who it is? I hate to say this but it sounds to me like someone needs some stupid 'hype' to get attention rather than concentrating on the job he/they should be concerned about.
And when the US is being attached by terrorists will they text message special people to let them know what's going on or maybe they'll put messages in bottles and send them down the Mississippi River :(

I agree this was a bad idea. Right now I feel like this announcing the VP thing is some weird sadistic game. Just announce it and let everyone know. It is distracting from the real issues, and does nothing but hurt the democrats chance. And the fake texting was easy to see coming. This circus of a campaign is just getting worse and worse by the day!
