How many of you have heard this song. A friend pointed it out to me, and now everyone i ask seems to say Yes they ahve heard it...um how come i heard it so late then..lol.
If you have heard it, what do you think of the song? I would give a link to it, but i dont have 500 posts yet and am not allowed.

Yes! I first heard this song while at a bar with some friends, but barely remembered it the next day! Then I started hearing it on the radio. It is one of the most played songs where I am from. Heck! I even heard it when I was in Taiwan the other week. I think the appeal to it is that it has funny lyrics (at least I think so) and is incredibly catchy. Once I get it stuck in my head, it takes forever to get out!

Yes its a very catchy and addictive song, the chorus just sticks in your head for what seems like forever

I have heard this song and I do like it, it has a really catchy beat and she has an awesome voice. However I don't really think the lyrics are appropriate for children to hear. My 12 year old actually said to me the other day, she likes the song, but she does not like the words of the song.

I agree with you Scotland, my daughter and I had a conversation about this once because some close friends of ours were making comments about what SHE likes to listen to. I respect my friend and her daughter too but I draw the line when they start trying to convince MY daughter there's something wrong with her musical taste. I told her the only person who needed to be deciding what she listened to was her, she is 19 now and I have never interfered with what she listens to. I listen to a lot of the same things.

No need to apologize. I remember when my daughter came to me one day to tell me about a new band that she thought I would like because they played my kind of music. I asked her who it was. Aerosmith. Had to explain to her they weren't a new band.

Yes the first time I heard this song was the other day when my 12 year old and 8 year old were singing it! I said to them, "Do you know what you are singing?" they both said yes but we like this song. WOW! What do you say to that?

I LOVE that song. I downloaded it about two months ago, maybe? I think the video has cool visuals, the lyrics and tune are catchy...I dunno, maybe it's my bicurious tendencies, but I don't find it offensive at all. And I'm a Christian as well...just a VERY liberal one.

I've heard it (it's one of the highest climbers on Hits 1 on Sirius) but now I feel it's overplayed. It was interesting when I first heard it but now I feel it's kind of silly.
I kissed a girl and I liked it, I hope my boyfriend don't mind it...
To me it smacks more of exploration than anything else. I have no desire to kiss a girl unless it's my daughter lol. Interestingly enough from what I've heard, the artist of the song grew up in a religious family. It doesn't really surprise me, when people finally have free choice, sometimes they go pretty far the other way.

I have heard it a long time ago already and the last time I heard it was yesterday. I also saw the music video of the song. I never knew how Katy Perry looked like. I thought she was lesbian considering her voice doesn't really sound like a female's and the subject of her song. I was really shocked that she was more feminine than I imagined her to be. She was in very sexy clothes and she was really pretty.
Anyway, the song is really disturbing. I do know lesbians exist, but it was the first time I heard a song about two girls kissing. It did not sound right to me, and I knew that not all people would agree of the song. I was right, my father did not like the song at all.
