From what I learned, stocking chicken, beef or pork meat can suffice to a week or two at the most. After that, I think it's going to taste different already.

You can keep meat in the freezer for over a year. But if it is not properly wrapped it can freezer burn and will still be ok to eat. It will just not taste very good. You should rewrap meats that you bring home with plastic wrap the put in to a freezer storage bag or butcher paper. It is the air that get trapped around the meat and or vegetables that cause freezer burn. Freezer burn affects the taste of foods. freezer burn will make meat tough too. If your neat has freezer burn it will be white looking around the edges.

i watch food network all the time and i learned that if the meat is packed well (wrapped in cling wrap then sealed in a bag or foil. it can be kept for a long time. Chicken can be kept up to 9 months. You know if it is bad if it is freezer burnt, smells bad, is green, or if red meat is brown. If you are not sure then don;t eat it but if it was packed well enough and only been there 2 months you should be ok...

it's good to as soon as possible..meat is good for health..on the other hand stocking of meat for so long are prone to unnecessary illness.it's better to cook after three days or four..else it would taste differently..

I usually keep it til I eat it. I think if you cook anything long enough, you'll kill the bacteria, it just won't taste as good. So I kind of live by that haha. I've had chicken for around 9 months, and hamburger for almost a year, and still eaten it. I cook it really well, and to make up for the flavor drown it in spices or sauces. Still tastes fine to me! Maybe just a little dry from over cooking it.

2 months should be ok as long as it doesn't have freezer burn. I did a little bit of googling and the general consensus seems to be that you can keep most meat in the freezer for up to a year. But that's assuming that it hasn't sat in the refrigerator or outside the refrigerator for too long. If there was some kind of bacteria on the meat, freezing it won't kill the bacteria, it will only slow the growth. If you aren't comfortable with it, better safe than sorry.
