Is it a sin to be nice these days?

I have been surfing through the news channels and everybody seems to think that one of the reasons why Obama may not win the White House is because he's being too nice. I perceive a conspiracy on the side of the media to fuel Obama into getting down and dirty like McCain. Otherwise I don't see why Americans, who have complained time and time again about negative campaigning, will rather vote for someone who is going down that road. When did being 'nice' become a sin in America?

The fact that Barack Obama hasn't sunk to the level of negative campaigning like John McCain, Sarah Palin and even Bill and Hillary ?Clinton, shows how mature and confindent he is. It's driving the Conservatives crazy as they would like nothing more than to get into a "war of words" with the Obama campaign, as opposed to discussing the issues facing everyday Americans. John McCain and Sarah Palin don't want to discuss the real issues for fear of being exposed as George Bush surrogates. Being intelligent, confident, mature and nice is not a sin in America. Trying to make Barack Obama join John McCain's and Sarah Palin's sewer politics is. One they will pay for it dearly. Lloyd

I was watching cnn interview a group of evangelicals in Florida. They were watching a clip of Sarah Palin's speech. When she got to that part about community organizers, these christians who were supposed to admire charitable work really found the statement hysterical and cheered Sarah Palin on. I was deeply dismayed. As a christian myself, I found it difficult to defend my religion when the people with whom I was watching the program(they do not believe in organized religion)started giving reasons why religion is pointless. They even used Sarah Palin as an example against my religion although I'm an Obama supporter. One of the reasons why I like Obama is because he is one of the few christians who really leave the task of judgment to God.

Please read 'hysterical' as 'hilarious'.

Honestly I don't know, but I really wish that we could get back to the important issues during a campaign season, and leave the mudslinging tactics behind. Like that is really going to happen, yeah right!! LOL.

The issues don't favor the Republicans and the American public loves the mudslinging although they claim they don't. McCain shot ahead in the polls and the media claims his mudslinging tactics are working.

ohhhhh my GOD .....I want to tell you...that you got the whole story of this world . Even I am not happy the way world is moving these days for nice people ....more one is nice more is he/she is stucked in problem. I think its world wide senario.....people are taking wrong path .... People think that one who is nasty , one who can initiate wars , one who can act fast without thinking of wrong or right , is the best . I am shocked by such senario in the world ....but yes there is one power that dilutes and reverse the whole story immediately ...and that is GOD. GOD still dont favours culprits .....GOD still hit nasty people hard ....GOD still favours nice person... So dont worry believe on GOD .... Thanks Ganesh
