What is your favorite vegitable (or fruit) to grow?

I have never grown fruits and vegetables, but my husband has. I remember he told me about the avocados that his family used to grow in California, I absolutely love avocados, and think that would be a cool thing to be able to grow. Unfortunately it would be pretty hard to grow them here in Ontario, especially with the winters that we get/ That would make it impossible to grow them.

My favorite would have to be strawberries - every house I've lived in since I've left my parent's home I've planted strawberries. Actually half of the plants we have right now came from the house I lived in prior - I dug them up and moved them, not once but 3 times :( And I hate moving! I would share a picture with you but opps I ate the ones I had ripe this morning for breakfast :)

I would have to say, tomatoes. I cannot wait to get them planted. I also like cucumbers.

Often tomatoes are my favorite. This year, however, it would have to be my grapes as this is the first really big harvest I have ever had. The flavor is just so much more intense than the ones from the store.

We have had the best time growing pumpkins. This was our first year growing them, and we have 2 out on the vine right now. One is already turning orange. It will be fun to make jack o' lanterns from our very own garden.

I think tomatoes are also my favourites. They are faily easy to grow, and there is nothing like eating a fruit directly from the vine which is warm from the sun. They have such an amazing smell when you grow them at home, nothing like those which you buy in the supermarket. I think my next favourite would have to be pumpkins and other such spreading vegetables. I love watching them spread and the fruits swell with the warm weather. I swear that some days you can almost see them growing.

At present my favorite things to grow are hot peppers, herbs, and salad greens, especially Edible Amaranth which is fast growing, tender and mild-flavored, and makes a pretty houseplant, as you can see by the photo I've uploaded here. But this season for the first time we are growing some tomatoes in our AeroGarden, so there will have to be updates on how that is working out!
