Do you know that snacks make you fatter?

I have been seeing this myself. previously i am not used to taking snacks in the evenings. now i started this habit over the last few years and now i have put on nearly 15kgs in the last two years. But how can we avoid snacks/cookies? Do you know about this? Are you a victim of this? So how to handle this?

yes i knew about the fact. but the snacks that are unhealthy make us fat. if we take very healthy things, they are less like;ty to amke us fat

Yes snacks do make us put on weight. But that is if you are having heavy snacks on a regular basis. I have light snacks sometimes if I am very hungry between meals but have not made it a habit.

I eat snacks all the time not just in the evening time but after work to. I eat all the good kind like potato chips, pretzles ,ice cream, cookies, cake and doughnuts lol. I no I should eat fruit but I just cant stay away from all the bad stuff.

That is not really a problem for me... because no matter what or how much i eat... i don't seem to get any fatter... i only gained a lot of weight when i got pregnant... but a few months after giving birth... all the excess weight disappeared... so i am back to my original weight... which is 110 pounds...

hi dear i had faced a similar crisis i had gained 20 kgs after marriage because of our reckless food habits and all kinds of snacks, binging and eating out..now i have managed to shed about 10 kgs by exercising and strict diet control i mainly have fruits in breakfast no banana, plain milk 1 cup, lunch is one chappati with cabbage or spinach or beans or drumsticks...night is again one roti and salad or have one big papaya..whaole day 3 table spoon of oil only..i lost 10 kgs in two months and it is tough to control sometimes i break the rule and end up having a pizza and junk but then i walk atleast 6 Kms in the evening ..take care dear i hope this helps you

en,i am thin.So i think you can buy fruit take the place of snacks and cookies. When you want to eat make sb.fat food you ask yourself "can i have some fruit insteas of the dessert" It is easy to reduce if you watch your diet.or you can go on diet by exercising every day.

It depends on the snacks you consume I believe. When I was on a diet, my mother told me to get fruits as a snack. I believe that having fruit as a snack won't make you fat at all. But if you take something oily and something salty, of cours it would make you fat. So that having snack in the middle of the night.. that would be disaster for you who are on diet. lol. If you want to, you can change your snacks into something healthier. Fruits or whole wheat grain based - snacks would be better. Or if you just want to chew something, change it with chewing gum, so you can stil chewing something without consuming anything...
