Where should I match my socks? I have learned before that your socks should be of the same color with my shoes. But I have read somewhere that I should match my socks with the color of my pants/trousers. To where should I really match the color of my socks?

If you are wearing darker shoes than pants, then I think you should match to your shoes. If you are wearing darker slacks than shoes, then match to your pants. Never match to your shirt. If you are wearing white sneakers, wear white socks.

I guess your right. It depends to what color your pants and shoes are. But to be safe, I usually wear black pants, black leather shoes and black socks. Black tends to be more formal. Others say that white socks should only be worn in the gym.

Sounds like you have the right idea. I would always make my husband wear shoes that are the same color of his pants too. That is unless he has jeans on , then he wears sneakers and white socks.

For me I try to wear sock that is a nice complementing color to my shoes and my suits. If I have on a brown pair of shoes on and a tan suit I will wear an inbetween color. It really depends on what colors I am wearing but I always try to wear a color sock that is complementing.

Well, most of my formal shoes are black so I always wear black socks with them. Black is always safe to wear. You can never go wrong with it.

I dont know much but I have read that you should match the color of your socks with the shirt you are wearing. And it kind of makes sense to me. Because trousers and your shoes would pretty much match each other and shirt and socks should match.

I match my socks with my though I do end up matching socks with shoes because it would look odd to have tan shoes with like pink socks when I am wearing ones that don't cover my whole foot you know.

Interesting topic. To be frank, i just arbitrarily pull out some socks and put them. It has so happened that i could not really find a pair and have out different ones I think it can match the color of our shoes so that it looks better. But its not a necessity. The others can look really good as well. My motto is to pick the first available pair

Nice motto you have there. I guess that really helps when you are in a hurry. I always tend to wear clothes that have coordinating colors of the same hue or palate.

Your socks should be of the color of your pants I presume. If its of the same color as of the shoes, then, color doesn't go that well. I wear white socks with my pink shoes, they look very attractive. I think you should also try contrast color with that of your shoes. Hope that helps :)

I never match my socks! In fact I usually mismatch them! I love wearing black socks with white socks (one of each) or blue and gray or some combination! It is much more fun this way and you stand out. For a while it was because I didn't bother matching so my socks wouldn't match, but now I make them not match as much as possible just to stand out. It is my style

I only have white or black socks. If I'm at home, I'll always wear white socks because they are more comfortable. I generally wear black socks at work since I either wear black pants or grey pants. But black socks tend to be more stiff and uncomfortable even in the exact same brand. So I don't wear them if I don't have to.
